WCW WCW-Western Carolina Wrestling Club had a solid performance at the 2026 Frank E. Rader Southeast Region. We were part of the over two thousand wrestlers participating in one of the toughest events of the season!

Huge congratulations to Jayceemae Erwin and Oscar Burleson for placing 1st and 3rd respectively in their freestyle division. Jayko didn't place but wrestled hard and represented our club with pride!!

Now it's on to national duals for Jayceemae and Oscar in June, as well as Fargo ND for Jayceemae this July!! Great job this weekend representing Mitchell County and WCW!!

Greco day was VERY successful for our wrestlers!!
All three competing today were individual champions!!!
Oscar Burleson -14U 155 GR State Champion
Jayko Erwin -12U 92lb Greco. Champion
Jayceemae Erwin - 16U 170 Greco Champion

For Jayceemae it was a very special day, as she picked up her SECOND consecutive triple crown award! Winning state titles in all three disciplines is NOT easy, but she battled a tough opponent today and came out with the title!

Huge thanks to the parents and coaches who have helped make these accomplishments possible with youre tireless support and encouragement!!

Now..let's go to the BEACH!

It's not magic...it's hard work, plus consistency, plus trusting a proven system and path that champions before you have followed. Super proud of the work turned in today by our WCW-Western Carolina Wrestling Club crew! We were small in number , but mighty in effort and effectiveness, bringing home two State freestyle championships and a runner up!
We'll hopefully have more exciting news to share tomorrow after Greco-Roman is done!
Super proud of today's effort and results!! Now let's GO GRECO!!

Thank you to Mitchell Wrestling for hosting today's NC USA Wrestling Training session for WNC. Athletes and coaches from Asheville, Rutherfordton, Mitchell Co., Hendersonville, and more got a great day of work in today! Growing Mountain FS/GR one practice at a time!
