Match Story Monday!

This week, we are sharing an incredible story from a former Mentor and Youth match that were matched for nearly 4 years. Former Mentor Akela surprised youth Anaya with a care package and an exciting announcement! Akela is now engaged and has asked Anaya to be a junior bridesmaid in her wedding! This is so precious and incredible! It shows the bond that mentors and youth can have beyond our mentoring program. Pass the tissues please! Congratulations to Akela and Anaya on this exciting news and we love seeing updates from our former matches still involved in each others lives.

Once more we sail with a northerly gale! Thank you to the Association for another fantastic year of rolling the old chariot along. Our community so appreciates the opportunity to learn to sail. Here's to taking lessons from knot tying and being on the water into the start of a new school year and Fall season!

🏛️✨ A little history, a lot of exploring!

We’re so excited to encourage mentors and mentees to take a self-guided tour of Glensheen Mansion! From the beautifully preserved 39-room mansion to the gardens, trails, and Lake Superior shoreline, there’s so much to discover together.

A self-guided visit means you can slow down, ask questions, follow your curiosity, and make the experience your own — the perfect recipe for connection and a memorable mentoring outing!

We’re so grateful to Adventure Zone for offering discounted fun for our mentors and youth! From laser tag and mini golf to arcade games, batting cages, and VR, there are so many ways for mentoring matches to get out, have fun, and make memories together in any weather.

Join Mentor North staff and our community for some fun in the sun!

This casual get together is for everyone (mentors, youth and the whole family is welcome). Bring your own towels, chairs, toys & games, and snacks & beverages. Life guards will be on duty but you are responsible for the safety of your group. No need to sign up, just meet on the lake side of the Park Point beach house by the life guard stand at 1pm! See you at the beach!
