Project Heart to Heart

Project Heart to Heart Supporting cardiac families one heart beat at a time. Sullivan was born with Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulomary Atresia, a severe cardiac defect.

Permanently closed.

After our son Sullivan was born on November 14, 2011, it was discovered that our lives would never be how we had thought. The day after he was born via emergency C Section, he was life flighted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis and had open heart surgery the next day. He had his second open heart surgery on May 17, 2012. I am happy to report that Sullivan is happy and healthy. His recovery is nothing short of miraculous. Having this experience has taught my husband and I what life is really all about. We are one of the lucky ones. Our son is healthy, and we came through on the other side, shining. Some families are not as lucky as we were. We started Project Heart to Heart to help others like us. We want people to know that CHDs are no longer the death sentences they once were. There is hope; and you are not alone. Project Heart to Heart had our 1st fundraising drive for Ronald McDonald House charities in late winter 2013. We collected Target gift cards, checks, toys, and items from the RMH wish list. My family had been able to stay at RMH while Sullivan had both of his surgeries and it was a God send. We wanted to make sure we paid it forward. We raised approximately $3,000, 3 cars full of items, and 20 stuffed animals and 2 wagons for the RMH and cardiac floor at Childrens. It was a great day. We hope to expand and grow one day, but for now, it is just the two of us with a gang of amazing supporters. PH2H is lucky to have such a support system of fantastic friends and followers. It makes a huge difference. Thank you for stopping and checking us out!
