Year round adventures near Duluth and Northern Minnesota! PEO works to help people of all ages and abilities get outside.

Families, adults, youth, groups of all sizes... People, sled dog, and draft horses powered fun- skills- time outdoors! Our staff of professional outdoor educators are among the most experienced guides and instructors in the region. Each year, our team helps thousands of people learn skills, enjoy beautiful places and have fun while participating in outdoor activities.

Hank and Henry, our senior Percherons are available for fall wagon rides! We have taught harnessing, driving, and hitching skills for many years. This fall we have time for small group rides, teamster training, and have openings for volunteer driver and volunteer then paid driver options for our winter dogsled and sleigh ride season. Just 15 miles north of Duluth, please message to learn more.

We are open by reservation 7 days per week with flexible times!

Last week of summer 2026 youth day camps. A few photos of week so far are here. We didn't catch photos of : garter snake eating leopard frog, flat tire on horse drawn wagon, grooming horses, petting sled dogs, belaying climbers, creating art, learning knots, teamwork in the voyageur canoe, and many smiles!

Summer 2026 summer youth day camps have been fun, active, skills and friends building, and outdoors! Two more camps and the next options are:

After-school Adventure Club! Call and we'll set some dates for your youth group of 2 to 9 kids. We pickup at your school and have adventures based on monthly weather. Rock climbing, kayaking, voyageur canoe, dogsledding, nordic skiing, snowshoe, hikes, and much more.

July 27 to 31. Youth Day Camp. Pickup and drop off in Duluth. Field trips each day and we enjoy our private waterfront 15 miles north of Duluth. We kayak, climb, canoe, SUP, swim with pfds, hike, fish, create art, learn skills, have fun, meet new friends, and appreciate nature! Register link at www.outdooredventures.org.

Tuesday this week we celebrated some "firsts". First time climbing to top of the PEO portable wall for LB, First day of 2026 at the lake relaxing in hammocks, and First time saying howdy to the sled dogs this spring with no chance of mud splashes!
