Companies to Classrooms, Duluth links schools and communities by recycling business surplus into supplies for area teachers and classrooms.

We are a free store for teachers. The closed for the summer but will reopen in August. Shopping for teachers is by appointment only. Bring along your School ID or a note from your principal and don't forget a mask!

Our amazing Volunteer Coordinator, Mary Streufert, was recently interviewed on WDIO to share how Companies to Classrooms is helping teachers beat the high cost of school supplies this year.

Did you know teachers spend over $500 out of their own pockets every year on classroom essentials? We're on a mission to change that across 16 school districts in Minnesota and Wisconsin by providing free supplies thanks to generous community donations.

Quick Reminder for Donors & Teachers:

Drop off donations on the 2nd Saturday of every month (10 AM – 1 PM).

Teacher Shopping: Tuesdays & Wednesdays (3 PM – 6 PM) and 2nd Saturdays (Sept–May). Make an appointment online and bring your school ID!

The start of the 2026-2027 school year is just around the corner, and Companies to Classrooms Duluth is here to make sure teachers across northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin start the year with the supplies they need.

Online shopping appointment sign up for teachers is available on our website. Teachers must create a NEW ACCOUNT at the beginning of each school year and bring their school ID or note from a principal the first time they shop.

Kathy Goetze has been a fantastic volunteer at Companies to Classrooms Duluth since 2015. She has been the volunteer who kept track of our shopper numbers, the items that went out, the value of each, and so much more. That’s 11 years of data entry every single month for every school year! Kathy has decided to retire from her volunteer work with C2C. We thank you sincerely for your time, energy, and great work. We will miss you!

Thank you to the team of of two adults and seven youth from Centenary United Methodist Church who volunteered to sort books, clean, and organize at C2C. They were a HUGE help and we are now a step closer to starting the new school year. Thank you again to this wonderful group of volunteers and to C2C volunteers, Mary Streufert, Cathy Wood, and Carolyn Schroeder, for guiding the crew.
