Arrowhead Regional Arts Council The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council’s mission is to facilitate and encourage local arts development.

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council’s mission is to create a healthy art and cultural ecosystem by offering support and resources for artistic professional development and equitable access for arts organizations and individuals to benefit all communities. 500 or 1000 dollars could make all the difference; that's why the Emergency Relief Fund is so important to uplifting artists in our community. This is a non-competitive application process where recipients will be chosen through a random name drawing. All you have to do is throw your name in the hat!

The Emergency Relief Fund Program provides $500 or $1000 to individual artists who have had a critical need relating to personal healthcare, housing, equipment, or legal emergencies since July 1, 2025. This program is intended to serve our community by addressing an individual artist’s recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster.

Application Deadline: November 1, 2026 @ 11:59 PM

The Artist Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) Network is stewarded by Springboard for the Arts and supported in part by F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Jerome Foundation, McKnight Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation. This award round was also funded in part by the Knight Foundation Fund of Boreal Waters Community Foundation.

We had so much fun connecting with artists up the shore last week! ☺️ This event is a perfect example of when art flows, community grows!

Art Along the Lake is a one-of-a-kind experience in one of the most picturesque areas in our region. Thank you to all the artists for opening your studios and to Visit Cook County for coordinating this fulfilling event. 💚

🚨 DEADLINE ALERT! 🚨

The Operating Support Grant (+ Accessible Arts Opportunity) deadline is coming up this Sunday, September 13, 2026 before 11:59 PM!

The Operating Support Grant Program provides up to $15,000 of unrestricted funding to arts organizations within the Arrowhead Region. This grant is intended to support core programming and general operations for the organization.

ACCESSIBLE ARTS OPPORTUNITY: This grant now features an optional Accessible Arts opportunity for up to $2,000 of additional funding. This Pilot Program is designed to improve overall organization accessibility. Combined with the Operating Support Grant, this total award could provide up to $17,000 of funding towards Operating Support & Accessible Arts.

This Sunday, September 13, 2026 before 11:59 PM is the deadline for our Individual Artist Equity Grant!

The Artist Equity Grant provides up to $4,000 to individual artists who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color, People with Disabilities, People 65+, Military Veterans, and/or Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, Intersex, Asexual/Agender, Two-Spirit (LGBTQIA2+). This grant is intended to provide funding to amplify these voices through projects and/or professional development.
