A little kindness can go a long way for a child navigating occupational therapy.

Recently, maurices associates volunteered with St. Luke’s Foundation during their annual Difference Making Day to help refresh pediatric occupational therapy spaces at Aspirus St. Luke’s. Throughout the day, volunteers organized games, sensory materials, therapy tools, and activity spaces used by local children and families during occupational therapy visits. From labeling sensory bins to creating visual schedules for therapy activities, every detail was prepared with care to help make these spaces more welcoming, calming, and engaging for young patients.

These updates may seem simple, but thoughtful spaces make a big difference for children navigating therapy and help our staff immensely. Thank you to the Maurices team for sharing your time, generosity, and community spirit with Aspirus St. Luke’s. Your compassion will make a meaningful impact for local children and families.

Help us create a brighter and more comfortable experience for children and families at Aspirus St. Luke’s!

Pediatric visits can feel overwhelming! Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference ♡

The pediatric clinic at Aspirus St. Luke’s is working to refresh pediatric exam rooms and waiting spaces into more welcoming, engaging, and sensory-friendly environments for children and families. From favorite children’s books and sensory activities to interactive materials and refreshed spaces, every addition is meant to help our young patients feel a little more comfortable, calm, and supported during their visits.

The team has already begun a deep cleaning and redesign effort, and now the community can help bring these spaces to life. Most books range from $5-$20, and people can purchase individual items or make a direct donation to support the project.

It was a wonderful afternoon of partnership, gratitude and community spirit.

Thank you to Duluth Huskies owner, Mike Rosenzweig, and the entire Huskies team for hosting Hot Dog Day in celebration of Aspirus St. Luke’s employees and volunteers. We’re proud to stand alongside you, both on and off the field.

Mike’s generosity and his desire to help spark the St. Luke's Foundation Employee Giving Campaign, sets the tone for what’s possible when we come together in support of our patients and community.

Our friends at Once Upon A Child - Duluth, MN made a generous donation of children’s books for our patients. These stories are now making their way throughout the hospital and to our clinics, where they’ll fill our Little Red Bookshelves, refresh exam rooms, and brighten waiting areas. Families are invited to take a book, leave a book, and share in the joy of reading. Thank you to the OUAC Duluth team!

Aspirus St. Luke’s has launched an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) program, bringing advanced heart and lung support to critically ill patients across our region.

This milestone was made possible through philanthropic support from St. Luke's Foundation via the Dale W. App Medical Education Fund and partnership with the Northland Foundation through the Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Fund.

Gifts to St. Luke's Foundation improve care, create access, readiness, and hope when every second matters. Thank you for making lifesaving innovation possible.

This Valentine’s Day, patients at Aspirus St. Luke’s received thoughtful reminders that their community is thinking of them.

Members of the University of Minnesota Medical School-Duluth’s Women in Medicine group created and delivered handmade Valentine’s cards to patients. Beyond the cards themselves, their time spent visiting, chatting and connecting with patients brought an added lift to the day.

Small gestures and genuine conversation can make a meaningful difference for those in the hospital. We’re grateful for their partnership and commitment to caring for our community.

Texas Roadhouse & Guests Donate $11,500 in Gift Cards to Patients of Aspirus St. Luke’s Cancer Care

The Duluth Texas Roadhouse restaurant and their guests raised $11,500 for Aspirus St. Luke’s patients undergoing cancer treatment. During their Breast Cancer Awareness promotion, guests were invited to donate at various levels and round up their bills. The funds raised were turned into Texas Roadhouse gift cards and are given to patients of Aspirus St. Luke’s Cancer Care.

We are grateful for the generosity of our Duluth Texas Roadhouse team and our community. Your support brings a much-needed lift to our patients and their families.
