This morning, the Duluth Central Labor Body was proud to host our annual Workers Memorial Day Breakfast.
Here in Duluth and across Northern Minnesota, our communities have been built by working people: on the docks, in the mines, in the woods, on construction sites, in hospitals, schools, public service, small businesses, and every workplace that keeps our region moving.
Workers Memorial Day is a time to honor workers who lost their lives, were injured, or became ill because of their work. It is also a reminder that every worker, no matter their job, title, trade, or workplace, deserves dignity, respect, and the right to come home safe.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning, and to all who continue the fight for safe workplaces and strong protections for all workers.

St. Louis County might remove Project Labor Agreements from upcoming construction bids due to changes at the federal level.

Grateful for the continued strong partnership between labor and the St. Louis County Board.
Today, union members showed up in force to support Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) and the shared commitment to good-paying jobs, safe worksites, and strong communities. That kind of collaboration is what makes our region stronger.
Now we need Congressman Pete Stauber, to step up and fight for his district, just as he has in the past when he supported PLAs and working people when he was a Country Commissioner himself
