Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce The Duluth area’s premier advocate for local businesses, economic development and community progress.

One of the largest and most influential chambers in the state of Minnesota, the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce serves 1,000 members, representing large, mid-sized, and small businesses alike. We serve as an advocate for commerce and industry; facilitate interaction among business, government, education, labor, and the greater community; and actively create innovative opportunities for business to advance within local and global economies. Membership in the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce provides business owners and their employees a wide variety of tangible opportunities to grow and develop their businesses, as well as their professional skill sets. In addition, the Chamber continually works with units of local, state, and national government, on behalf its members, to foster and maintain a healthy economic environment that is conducive to doing business. While our members are busy serving their clients, we make sure their business needs are met.

Today at Let’s Do Lunch, we heard from Amy Supple, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Edgewater Hospitality Company, which manages The Lakeview at 333 and Foundry Wellness in downtown Duluth.

Amy shared that Duluth’s outdoor identity, tourism, attractions, and events are a few reasons downtown is an exciting place to invest. Through the development of The Lakeview and Foundry Wellness, Lakeview Management is creating new residential, hospitality, and gathering spaces in the heart of the city.

Located in Duluth’s vibrant HART and Medical Districts, The Lakeview offers residents unobstructed views of Lake Superior and convenient access to downtown businesses, restaurants, and entertainment.

Yesterday, the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Ron Wirtz of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis for a roundtable discussion with regional business leaders.

Ron shared insights into current economic conditions before opening the floor for a conversation about what businesses across our region are experiencing firsthand — from business activity and market trends to the challenges and opportunities shaping our local economy.

These conversations provide a valuable opportunity for business leaders to share their perspectives, learn from one another, and contribute to a broader understanding of economic conditions in our region.

Yesterday, the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee welcomed Coast Guard Commander John Botti and 148th Fighter Wing Commander Curt Grayson for updates on their respective units and the important work happening across our region.

We’re grateful for the continued engagement and support of Senator Grant Hauschild, Duluth City Council President Lynn Nephew, representatives from Senator Klobuchar’s and Congressman Stauber’s offices, officials from St. Louis County and the cities of Duluth and Hermantown, and leaders from across our business community.

Today we were honored to join Troy Screening LLC. for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of their new screening facility in Hermantown!

Troy Screening provides professional drug testing services designed to make workplace screening simple and convenient. Employers can come to them at their Hermantown location, or Troy Screening can come directly to the workplace with mobile on-site testing.

Their services include pre-employment screenings, random testing, post-accident testing, and other workplace drug testing needs, all with a focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and timely results.

Finally Fridays is the Chamber’s morning social series which provides guests the opportunity to start their day with professional accompaniment, breakfast beverages, and snacks. Join us at this special Finally Fridays hosted by Life House to learn more about the critical work they do for the youth in our community.

In lieu of a registration fee, the Duluth Chamber team will collect cash donations at the door that will go directly to support the mission of Life House. Credit card donations will also be accepted. A $5 minimum donation is encouraged.

About the Host:

Life House provides comprehensive supportive services to meet the needs of our youth and young families ages 14 to 24 who are unstably housed and/or navigating various challenges in life.

We provide a place for them to connect with compassionate staff where they can feel and express all their emotions as well as heal from their wounds.
