“Great Prospects is extremely personal as it’s built around my daughter.”

This Disability Awareness Month, meet Michelle Jericevich of Great Prospects. In this clip from the Community Impact Series, Michelle shares how the organization was built around her daughter, now 38, and what it provides for neurodiverse adults ages 21 to about 45 and their families.

Monday through Friday, about 40 hours a week, Great Prospects offers a safe and welcoming place filled with therapies and activities that are stimulating and rewarding, giving families dependable support so parents can go to work with confidence.

Great Prospects is a nonprofit partner of the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia, and the full episode explores that partnership further.

At Families 4 Families, the work doesn't end when a child is placed with a family!

Families 4 Families provides consistent support for both children in foster care and the families who care for them. And through your support, they can serve even more children and families.

During our recent grant cycle, we granted funds to Families 4 Families to support their work of placing children who have faced instability, neglect, abuse and abandonment in safe, loving homes. Thank you, Families 4 Families, for your work, and thank you, donors, for making change possible for Georgia's children! 👏

“Atlanta is known as the cultural capital of the South, but we don’t fully capitalize our arts organizations.”

Meet our fundholder and recent 2026 grantee, Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett!

"We are a complement to public education, there to serve students who need a smaller and more specialized setting. There is no 'us' and 'them,' just different ways to support young people during their formative years," shared Jamie Hamilton, executive director at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett.

"Disabilities are present in the lives of more families than ever before, and the need to support them is urgent. Young people with disabilities, and their families, deserve to have options when searching for an educational environment best positioned to help them be successful. Many are unable to advocate for themselves, but we feel called to become their voice and ensure they have the access they deserve!"
