Our club and community’s light shines a little dimmer as we share the passing of one of our longtime members, Elliott Brack.

A highly respected veteran newspaperman, fearless leader and dedicated servant to our community, Elliott joined Rotary in 1963, became a member of our club in 1974 and exemplified the true spirit of Rotary through 63 years of service with perfect attendance. He loved all things Rotary, especially our annual Oyster Roast, where his presence, enthusiasm, and fellowship will be deeply missed.

Elliott’s impact on our club and the countless lives he touched will not be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

This , we are shining a spotlight on our very own Rotary Club member, John Gibb, and the incredible impact he continues to make — not only within our club, but throughout our entire community.

Without John and Formetco, so many of the events, fun, and meaningful community moments we enjoy — including our Derby Down South Fundraiser — just would not be the same. His energy, passion, and commitment to giving back are truly inspiring!

John exemplifies what it means to live out Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self. We are grateful for his leadership, generosity, and heart for serving others.

As People of Action, Rotarians across the globe have been shaping the conversation on the environment for years - from fighting pollution to raising awareness about how changes in the environment threaten entire food systems. Fifty years ago, the first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970 in the US, launching a wave of action to protect Mother Earth.

Our Rotary club was proud to roll up our sleeves and give back in a big way this March! 💙

Thanks to the generosity of our members, we collected hundreds of toiletries for Ronald McDonald House—helping provide comfort and care to families during difficult times.

We also donated 72 pairs of pajamas to Jambos, bringing warmth, dignity, and a little extra joy to foster care children and teens in our community.

Service above self in action—and a reminder of the impact we can make when we come together! ✨
