ATTENTION DULUTH AREA!

Registration for the Fall 2026 Learn to Play Hockey for all ages is LIVE!

We have an update: we have reduced our sessions to 6 instead of 8... Why?? Well, with only 6 sessions we are able to waive the requirement for a USA Hockey membership!

We're so excited to have found a way to make trying hockey and skill development more accessible to the community!

Following up on our previous post highlighting that 20 years ago the Heritage was transitioning from a hopeful idea to a mission and facility to serve our young people.

We’re now able to focus on what’s next for the Heritage and our community with this incredible investment by Joe & Nancy Bullyan and Dave & Lisa Goldberg.

The leadership, guidance and generosity of Joe, Nancy, Dave and Lisa will be felt by generations of Duluthians to come. We thank them for their shared vision and will now roll up our sleeves and start the work of what’s to come next.

Gifts from Joe and Nancy Bullyan and Dave and Lisa Goldberg helped buy land in the hopes of an eventual expansion of the facility.

From a hope and a dream to a cornerstone of our community. 20 years ago, the Heritage Center was little more than a concept.

With donated land from Clyde Iron Works a group of motivated citizens came together and poured their time, energy and passion into fundraising for and constructing what would become one of the most unique civic projects in Minnesota. Built with no taxpayer dollars and operating as a self sufficient non-profit for the past 20 years has been a remarkable challenge.

We look forward to serving our community for the next 20 years and are studying how we can improve programming, facilities and expand our impact in Duluth and beyond.

A celebration at the former Clyde Iron site included a movie screening and more.

A nearby business experienced a fuel container explosion a little after 1pm today. Emergency crews have responded to the scene and as of 2:15pm the area has been declared safe.

Out of an abundance of caution while navigating after school transportation, Dave Goldberg Family Boys & Girls Club has suspended programming for today.

All other Heritage Center programming (Duluth Amateur Hockey Association) will continue as scheduled now that we have received word that the area is safe.

We recently had the privilege of dedicating our Administrative Offices in honor of Jerry DeMeo.

Jerry was the longtime President/CEO of the Heritage Center and more recently served as Trustee for the Duluth Heritage Center Foundation and Board Member/Secretary for the EDHC Center Board. Jerry has steered the Heritage through many challenges and been a steady hand at the wheel.

Jerry's final board meeting was in June and we wanted to honor his sense of duty, steadfast advocacy for our community and tremendous leadership.

When you enter the Heritage Center lobby you'll see the DeMeo Administrative Office to your right, which houses both Heritage and DAHA staff.

Thank you for the legacy you've left, Jerry
