Join the Duluth Superior Sailing Association for a two-evening beginner course where you’ll get experience both onshore and on the water. From wind direction and knots to rigging, docking, and water safety, you’ll cover all the basics to feel confident on board!

Learn the basics of sailing with the Duluth Superior Sailing Association! Participants will start with learning basic sailing knowledge like wind direction, simple sailing knots, and parts of a sailboat. The second half of the lesson will be rigging a sailboat and working on more basic sailing skills while under sail. Each course will be two evenings. The cost is $110. For the 2024 Season, the AIS fleet, including Bayfield Race Week, will transition to using the ClubSpot regatta registration and race management system. Non-WYC members will use the guest login. Existing WYC members will login using their credentials (or use the forgot my password function!).

Registration for all other AIS events is also available here. https://wyc.org/ais

The goal is to improve the user experience for current and new competitors, this transition will also provide enhancements to the race’s online management. Rest assured, this migration has been carefully planned for minimal impact and a seamless experience for all participants, and all will benefit from a more intuitive registration and information management system.
