Thanks to all who showed up to support NTEC on Tuesday! It was great to see Denny Stolp of Belknap Electric, INC. speak in favor of the project at the Superior City Council meeting.

The energy center would be constructed under a project labor agreement that is currently being negotiated between project partners and the trades.

On February 8, 2024 Twin Ports Arrowhead Chapter NECA, IBEW Local #242 and the IBEW/NECA Twin Ports Electrical Apprenticeship Program (JATC) came together to volunteer at The Brainerd Center for a lighting upgrade.

The project was led by Robert Mueller of Rob Mueller Electric. Rob Mueller pulled the permit and provided tools for the job. Holden Electric Co., Inc. provided ladders. Several Brainerd IBEW Local #242 members contributed to the project including JATC Instructors Avery Mann and Zach Barron along with the 3-5th year Brainerd Apprenticeship class.

Special thank you to Sylvania, Viking Electric, and the Local #242 and Twin Ports Arrowhead Chapter NECA LLMCC for making this project possible.

Congratulations to Apprentice of the Day, Connor Floerke, nominated by Belknap Electric.

Open to new challenges and enthusiastic about the electrical trade, Connor Floerke is upbeat about his future as an electrician. New friends and mentors, valuable skills and earning a good income are some of the benefits his apprenticeship experience has afforded him. Floerke hopes to obtain a master electrician license and possibly become a contractor.
