Despite heat to start the week and smoke to finish it, we had a BLAST at Camp Vermilion this week!

Due to worsening air quality as a result of area wildfires, we will be moving the rest of this week’s activities at Camp Vermilion indoors. VLM staff are continuing to monitor conditions. Parents, keep your eye out for further email updates. Please join us in praying for better conditions as well as the safety of firefighters.

Camp Vermilion Week 1 was a success! This week, Camp Vermilion welcomed a few seekers, some venturers, a couple discoverers, and a whole lot of campers to Cook, Minnesota. Between all-camp games, time by the lake, morning movement, and Rubbaboo Bible study, these campers made their mark! Thanks for sharing a part of your summer with VLM!

This past week, we welcomed some budding hockey players to VLM. They split their time between the Greenway Sports Complex and VLM's Camp Hiawatha, skating on the rink and hanging out by Deer Lake. Thanks to all of our hockey campers for spending their week with us!

Thanks a heap to our VLM volunteers for the many top-notch construction projects at Camp Hiawatha! Reflooring of the main office is underway, and concrete work was done around the chapel and dining hall, continuing to make our camp more accessible!

Noelle and Ashton were blessed to spend the last summer training of 2026 with Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry! This was our second time visiting the VLM staff to discuss the Circle of Courage, and we had a blast expanding on what they had learned and experienced since last year.

Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry is excited to announce our theme for the summer: Wear Love! Stemming from Colossians 3:12, VLM will channel kindness, humbleness, calmness, steadfastness, and forgiveness Monday-Friday with our campers at Camp Hiawatha and Vermilion.
