Hosted by our friends over at Service Learning Camps, LLC, this volunteer group made the trip all the way up from Illinois last week to help us out, and BOY did they deliver!

Organizing, cleaning, and serving our community with smiles on their faces and peps in their steps, we couldn’t have asked for a better group to join us from afar. 💙💙

This is what Community Hunger Support looks like in The Northland 💙

Whether its daily fresh produce & bakery, pre-made donation bags or generous funding, we count on Super One Foods to help us keep our neighbors nourished!

Super One Foods was honored to receive a Silver Plate Award from the Minnesota Grocers Association for Best Community Hunger Support during the 2025 Bag Hunger Campaign!

As part of this recognition, we had the opportunity to select a hunger-relief partner to receive a $1,000 donation. This year, we were proud to choose the Union Gospel Mission Duluth

Earlier this week, Steve Barthel from the Minnesota Grocers Association joined team members from Miner’s Inc. and Super One Foods, along with Corrin Thell from Union Gospel Mission, at Miller Hill Super One Foods to celebrate the award and present the donation.

We’re proud to support many different organizations making a difference in the communities we serve and look forward to participating in the 2026 Bag Hunger Campaign again this fall.

We heard Mayor Roger J. Reinert gets parking tickets.

We get parking tickets sometimes, too. Sometimes directly in front of our own building.

UGM has been serving the Northland since 1922, which should be plenty of time to learn where we’re allowed to park. It has not been.

Anyway, if you need a hot meal, clothing, hygiene supplies, outreach support, housing assistance, or a safe place to spend the day, we’re here.

If you need advice on downtown parking, we are begging you to ask literally anyone else.

Food. Shelter. Hope. And occasionally a little green envelope under the windshield wiper.

Please donate. We have people to feed and apparently- meters to feed, too.

Two weeks ago, Union Gospel Mission wrapped up our Summer Weekend Food Bag packing for the 2026 season! 12 weeks of pure JOY helping feed children here in the Northland.

In total, we distributed 4,646 weekend food bags filled with easy-to-open, easy-to-prepare food items! From the Coppertop packing site- we distributed to 14 different youth organizations from Gary New Duluth, to Superior, and all the way up to Two Harbors.

We cannot thank Project Joy enough for sponsoring this project year after year both monetarily and through their volunteerism, First United Methodist Church, Duluth (The Coppertop) for hosting the packing space, and ALL of the volunteers who make it happen each week. This was our BIGGEST summer yet! Here's to next year! 💙🕊

Our doors will be closed today in honor of Labor Day 💙
