JACKSON COUNTY BURN BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED

Please continue to follow all rules and safety precautions when conducting a controlled burn.

🚨 PLEASE REMEMBER TO REPORT ALL CONTROLLED BURNS TO THE JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

Reporting your burn is very important! It helps prevent our volunteer fire departments from being unnecessarily paged out to a controlled burn that has already been reported and is being monitored.

Please burn responsibly, stay safe, and help us keep our first responders available for true emergencies.

Thank you for continually supporting all of our local Firefighters 🚒🔥

Duke assisted with the fire this afternoon with Eldorado, Olustee, Altus Fire Departments, along with JCEM Jerry Abbott, Altus EMS, and Jackson County District 2, were all represented and working together.

Thank you to every single person who worked tirelessly in the extreme heat to get this fire under control. In these hot, dry conditions, it truly takes everyone working together to keep these fires at bay and protect our communities.

We also say a special prayer for the firefighter who became overheated and had to be transported to the ER. He was doing well when they left, but it is a sobering reminder of the very real dangers our firefighters face every time they answer the call—especially in this extreme heat.

We are incredibly thankful for each person who showed up, stepped in, and did their part today.

And now, more than ever…

🙏 PRAY FOR RAIN!!! 🌧️🌧️🌧️

Duke Fire Department has been able to purchase 2 much-needed brush trucks, new equipment, and all-new bunker gear for our department over the last few years.
The Jackson County fire sales tax is instrumental in keeping every fire department in our county operating, equipped, and ready to respond when needed. Improved equipment not only helps shorten response times, but also allows our firefighters to work more safely and efficiently when suppressing fires and protecting lives and property.
Please continue to support the fire departments that serve Jackson County by voting YES to extend the fire sales tax this fall.

Your support truly makes a difference for our firefighters and the communities they protect!

Thank you to all of Jackson County for continual support for all of our rural fire departments.

100%! This sales tax is instrumental in keeping every fire department in Jackson County going.
We have been able to replace worn out equipment and gear which provides for the safety of all the firefighters. The improved equipment also shortens response times and is much more efficient for fire suppression.
Please continue to show your support by approving the fire sales tax extension this fall.

Fire fighters from Granite, Mangum, Blair, Willow, Lone Wolf, and Hicks Mountain continue to fight the fight at the Hwy 9 bridge on the north side of Lake Lugert. The wind and terrain are making their jobs difficult and more dangerous. Task Forces from Beckham and Jackson counties are on their way to assist as well.

Continue to pray for all of the first responders assisting in this effort.
