Florida Rescue Farm

Sunday afternoon at Florida Rescue Farm. 💚

An afternoon dip in the pond, a visit from the goose welcoming committee with some new friends among familiar faces, and a close-up with Miss Maybee. Swipe through to see the whole cow herd enjoying their day together.

These everyday moments are what sanctuary is all about: room to roam, friends nearby, and the freedom to simply be themselves.

Sharing a little of their day to brighten yours. 🐮🪿

Apparently Puck and Taitai have decided the wheelbarrow is the best seat in the house. 😂🌾

A huge thank-you to everyone who has already donated to our Semi-Annual Hay Drive. Your support is already helping us keep the hay coming.

This is what that support looks like in real life — hay arriving, being hauled around the farm, and very quickly finding some enthusiastic customers.

We’re working toward $6,000 to provide approximately six months of hay for the animals at Florida Rescue Farm, and donations have slowed a bit — so if you’ve been meaning to help, this would be a wonderful time. ❤️

Every donation, no matter the size, helps.

Thank you for helping us care for them.

🌾 Hay is more than food.

Of course our cows, sheep and goats love eating it, but around the sanctuary, hay has another important job.

It becomes bedding.

It gives animals a soft, dry place to settle in, stretch out and rest.

Hay gets hauled, stacked, spread, eaten, slept on and replenished here every single day.

That’s why our Semi-Annual Hay Drive matters so much. $6,000 will help provide approximately six months of hay for the farm.

🌾 Our Semi-Annual Hay Drive is here!

Our goal is $6,000, enough to provide approximately six months of hay for the animals at Florida Rescue Farm.

Hay is one of those things we use every single day. Our cows, sheep and goats depend on it for food, and throughout the sanctuary it also provides warm, dry bedding and comfortable places to rest.

Every bale matters.

If you’d like to help us keep the hay coming for the next six months, you can donate at floridarescuefarm.org/donate.

Thank you for helping us care for the animals who call FRF home. 💙

Good food, full bellies, and grateful hearts!💚

We are incredibly honored to announce that Florida Rescue Farm has been awarded a $15,000 Nutrition & Food Security Grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation! As a repeat supporter of our mission, their incredible trust and partnership mean the world to us, and to every single animal who calls this sanctuary home.

This critical grant provides the baseline foundation for our residents, ensuring that our feed storage stays full and our senior and rescue animals get the exact daily nutrition they need to thrive.

✨ The Power of Partnership: ✨ When an institutional funder like the Bishop-Parker Foundation secures our baseline nutrition, it allows our community of individual donors to make an immediate, life-saving impact elsewhere. Because our daily feed costs are covered, every dollar you donate today goes directly toward:

🩺 Emergency and routine veterinary care & medications

🚧 Pasture fencing and enclosure maintenance to keep our rescues safe

📚 Expanding our community education initiatives and digital resources, paving the way for exciting new programs that connect local students and families with our mission!

It takes a village to build a better Manatee County, and we are so proud to stand alongside the Bishop-Parker Foundation and all of you. Thank you for keeping our mission growing!

Say hello to Lightning! ⚡️
He’s definitely the "face" of our duo today (don’t tell his brother Thunder I said that). It’s easy to forget how much personality goats have until you spend a little time with them. They form such deep bonds, and seeing Lightning and Thunder together is a daily reminder of why we do what we do.
We love being able to give them the life they deserve right here in Duette.

"I am a chicken; and no net ensnares me: I am a free being with an independent will."
- Charlotte Brontë (The Farm Remix)

That look you give when someone tries to tell you what to do, but you’ve already read the literature on freedom. 📖🐔
