James Milton Campbell Jr., known as Little Milton, was born on September 7, 1934 in Inverness, Mississippi.
⭐️
A blues singer, guitarist and songwriter, his career spanned from the mid-1950s until 2005, recording for legendary labels like Sun, Chess, Stax and Malaco.

He is best known for his #1 R&B hit “We’re Gonna Make It” and classics like “Grits Ain’t Groceries”.
⭐️
Raised in Greenville by a farmer and local blues musician, he started playing guitar at age 12 and became one of the great voices of Mississippi blues. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1988.
