We had fun sharing our robots and FTC with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque this past Wednesday. Thank you for sharing your space so we could visit. We especially were impressed with the creations made during our STEM activity! Problem solving at its best!

Coach Sendt is the best!

We are of Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School Robotics Coach Missy Sendt being named Compass Award winner through FIRST Tech Challenge. This award recognizes mentors who provide outstanding guidance while going above and beyond for their teams.

Nominated by her students, Missy is celebrated for inspiring growth, building confidence, while supporting her team both in and out of competition. Her impact reaches far beyond robotics, helping students become capable, motivated learners in STEM and beyond.

Congratulations, Missy! 👏🎉🤖

This year has been incredibly fun and has given us many amazing opportunities, including competing at State—and now we’re heading to the Michiana Premier Event! Teams from across the country and around the world gather at this Indiana FTC competition, and we’re excited to represent Dubuque and Roosevelt Robotics.

With this opportunity comes many expenses, so we’d greatly appreciate your support. Join us at Jersey Mike’s on 4/21 from 4–9 PM and be sure to mention Roosevelt Robotics at checkout. You can also support us by purchasing a Hy-Vee discount card from any Roosevelt Robotics member or by donating through the GoFundMe link below.

Royal Robots and Robo Raptors—Season Send"t" Off!

Our competition season has come to an end—and what a season it was! We made it to state, with our sister team! We built two competitive robots this season, learning a lot along the way. We made new friends, took chances, failed, succeeded, planned events, coded, built, fundraised, picked up new skills, challenged ourselves and each other. We had an amazing group of supporters and teammates.

FTC Iowa State Championship Recap:

Royal Robots finished our matches in 4th place in the Black Division out of 36 teams. This earned us the 4th place Alliance Captain position for the double elimination tournament! We moved up to the 3rd place Alliance Captain after initial alliances were picked. We wrapped up our season after participating in the double elimination tournament. It was an amazing experience.

Robo Raptors finished their season in 18th place in the Gold Division matches out of 36 teams.

Beyond the field, both teams had fun showcasing their season during their judges interviews and in their team pits.

To top it off, our amazing Coach Sendt received the Compass Award for being her awesome self and helping us grow!

The Royal Robots and Robo Raptors want to thank all of our supporters—our coaches, mentors, families, sponsors, community partners, community members and each other! We learned so much and grew a ton. It was an amazing season!
