Hello everyone!

This is just a reminder that today is the last day to vote for Marilyn and Ruth’s quilt that is at the New England quilt show. This was in the newsletter this month. The website to vote was a little confusing. Go to americanquilter.com

Three lines on the top left of the page,click on that. Click on events and contests. From there, there is a box with New England quilt week, click that. You will have to register an account to vote. After doing the registration you will see all the quilts. Newsletter said it was quilt #808 but that wasn’t the case. Go to page 7 and it’s the first quilt. Embroidered Shadow Box BOM is the name. You can vote under the picture.

Since today is the last day you can only vote once. Sorry I was late to this but a girl has to go to work during the week.

Good morning CCQG! Hope everyone survived the snow and wind last night. Mother Nature seems to be angry these days.
Just a note about this evenings meeting…we WILL be having it. Our class/trunk show presenter made it into town yesterday. She is doing our class today and is ready to present her trunk show this evening. With that being said, we would normally cancel because of this weather. If you don’t feel comfortable driving then please stay home. We are going to attempt a facebook live for the trunk show. Probably around 7 pm. Attempt being the word. Sometimes technology doesn’t like me! That will be on The Cabke Car Quilt Guild group page.
The board will be reviewing our cancellation policy as well. Again we just want everyone to be safe.

At the meeting last night we talked about partnering up with The Red basket project. This group is a non profit out of Dubuque that make period products more accessible to low income, homeless and any other female that needs some help. Comminty Service has all of the fabric if you need some reach out to Bonnie Sands. The link below is the video on the bag. Just know we did 9x11 not the size stated in the video. The ribbon is cut smaller too. Use your judgement. If you don’t have time to sew, consider donating products. Regular size tampons, pads, panty liners and individually packaged wipes(baby wipe for adults). Bring them to our March meeting.
