Friends of Inharrime

Friends of Inharrime Friends of Inharrime is a non-profit organization that supports children and families in Inharrime, Mozambique. It has also worked in the U.S.

Friends of Inharrime works with the Casa Laura Vicuña, an institution founded in Inharrime in 2004 by the Salesian sisters of Mozambique. Casa Laura Vicuña offers many services to the surrounding community, including an orphanage that provides a home for 72 girls age three and older, and government-staffed primary and secondary schools (1st to 12th grade). The sisters and their collaborators provi

de literacy classes for local women and offer nutritional and educational support for children from families without resources to provide either. Since 2009, Friends of Inharrime has assisted the Casa Laura Vicuña in developing and implementing community programs. to improve understanding of circumstances in Mozambique and promote discussion on the proper role of the international community in places like Inharrime.
