We had a couple rock star regulars serving today in addition to four amazing students from Clarke University. With a smaller crew, we were able to work hard and get the food out on time. The students from Clarke knocked it out of the park and braved the wet weather with a smile on their faces. It was so encouraging to see them brighten up the day of so many of the folks we served!

We are so fortunate to have a good relationship with our area colleges and to see the energy that these student volunteers bring! Follow the lead of these bright young folks and give the gift of your time! Check out the link below to sign up!

Quick announcement: We will ***Not be serving a meal on April 5th, Easter Sunday.***

Our volunteers, leads and most of all, our Director, Tim, have earned a week off to spend time with their families. We’ve been so fortunate to be able to offer the meal almost every Sunday, a credit to our volunteer core and the hard work that Tim does every week coordinating our mission!

Today, you Will see our smiling faces and usual food offering! It’s a beautiful day already and we’re sure to see lots of people out and about!

It was a beautiful day to serve burritos! There were about 220 meals served. Because of the nice weather, many people stuck around longer to have conversations with us. We love building upon the relationships we've made with so many of the people we serve over the years.

We’d love to meet you or see you again, volunteering folks of Dubuque! Join us for a rewarding hour or two of service that makes a big impact in your own backyard. Check out the link below to sign up!

Humbling for us to be celebrated. Thanks to our Director Tim Leonard for this thoughtful recognition of service. We appreciate you and the steady hand with which you’ve taken the reins of our mission. Here’s to hopefully many more years of service together!

200 meals served tonight on a chilly eve. We had a great crew and were reflecting on all the ways UBFM has changed over the years. Maybe it’s the New Year that is making us sentimental but it’s so wonderful to think of all the ways we have morphed and shifted over the years- maybe small things have changed whether it’s an item we serve or location but one thing hasn’t- our love for delivering burritos! Happy New Years

We are so grateful to still be at it all these years.
(8 years, we counted 😅)

Today we served about 200 meals. We had a wonderful group of volunteers, and we had the privilege of handing out blessing bags that were made by the Dubuque Catholic Homeschool group. We are regularly humbled by the generosity of so many in our community to help our neighbors in need!

Today we were so thankful for the work ethic and heart of Girl Scout Troop # 4353 in addition to some of our regular volunteers. The girls did an excellent job! We loved having them, and it put a smile on the faces of many of the folks coming through for a meal today. Thanks to ALL of our volunteers who served with us today!
