🦅 Eagle Scout Spotlight: Seth Smith
Troop 86 | Class of 2025

Seth earned Eagle Scout by leading the construction of a bunker gear dryer for the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department—improving safety and efficiency for firefighters. 🚒
His biggest Scouting lesson? Be prepared. He describes the experience as cool because of all the places he’s been.

Advice to younger Scouts: Don’t procrastinate!

Nice work, Seth!

Flashback Friday: Camp Klaus through the decades! 🌲✨

Swipe through to take a trip down memory lane with the camp staff crews of 1977 and 1980, and the Friends of Camp Klaus reunion in 2000.

A legendary highlight from that 2000 reunion: Notable attendees included members who actually attended the very first Camp Klaus summer camp season back in 1956! Louis, Kirkwood, Chuck Golinvaux, Hans Schwantje, John Roseliep, Dennis Kirkwood, Tom Kirkwood, Roger Westemeier, and Keith Robinson.

To all our registered alumni traveling up to Colesburg for the reunion this weekend, drive safely— see you soon!

For our alumni cheering us on from home: Do you recognize anyone in these photos, or know any of our 1956 trail-blazers? Tag an old camp friend or drop your favorite Camp Klaus memory in the comments below! 👇

Scouts in Action

This Memorial Day, Scouts from Troop 34 helped honor those who served by placing flags at Oakland Cemetery in Manchester.

An incredible 265 flags were placed on just one side of the cemetery, creating a powerful tribute to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Thank you to Troop 34 for living the Scout Oath through service and remembrance.

Thank you to the Order of the Arrow Timmeu Lodge #74 and our properties team for doing a great job on the new handicraft deck & outdoor classroom!

Not only does this expand our teaching space, but the deafening roar of crafting hammers now have their own space outside!
