Clarke students are putting service into action. ♿️💙

Earlier today, students in Clarke’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, through the Clarke Organization of Student Physical Therapists (COSPT), helped load a large collection of donated wheelchairs and assistive devices as part of Clarke’s ongoing partnership with Wheels for the World.

Clarke has served as a collection point for the eastern Iowa region for years, collecting used mobility equipment that is reconditioned and ultimately delivered to people with disabilities in developing countries.

This week’s collection was one of the largest we’ve loaded in quite a few years, a great example of the growing impact our students can have both here in our community and around the world.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the recent passing of Professor Emeritus John Lease.

Along with his wife, Nancy, John served as a music professor at Clarke for nearly 45 years. Their work positively impacted the lives of countless students, musicians, and community members throughout Dubuque, while their talents thrilled audiences around the world.
We remain deeply grateful for John’s many contributions to Clarke and his lifelong commitment to the students he taught, mentored, and inspired.

What a weekend! 🦁💙

Connect Weekend was packed from start to finish with new friendships, campus traditions, activities, laughs and plenty of opportunities for our newest Clarkies to get connected. There was so much energy across campus, and we loved watching our newest students settle in, meet their classmates and start making Clarke feel like home.

What an incredible kickoff to the new academic year. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us! 🎉
