YOUR NEXT MATCH

WHAT IS IT?

Your Next Match transitions current and recently graduated high school and college wrestlers from the mat to the workforce by providing career opportunities. The ultimate goal of wrestling is to create young men and women who are prepared to succeed in whatever path they pursue after their competition days are over.

Our GOAL is to connect high school and college wrestlers with the four most likely outcomes a wrestler pursues once their wrestling career comes to an end. Your Next Match connects wrestlers with educational opportunities, early career positions, training, and apprenticeship programs within the various trades, and/or military enlistment or commissioning programs.

This program is designed for current and recently graduated high school and college wrestlers and is designed to connect wrestlers with early career and professional opportunities.

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

Registration is simple, fast, and free. Simply click the link below to register. Once registered, our partner companies and organizations have the ability to view your profile and connect with you to provide appropriate options based on the path(s) you are interested in pursuing.

High school and college wrestlers can sign up for FREE here by clicking their desired pathway: https://www.wrestlersinbusiness.org/your-next-match

WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF YNM?

The ultimate outcome of the sport of wrestling is to prepare athletes for lifelong success in whatever path they elect.

Your Next Match represents a deliberate strategy to connect wrestlers with career opportunities where they can demonstrate the intangible skills and abilities they learned while participating in the sport.

By connecting wrestlers with early career opportunities where they thrive, our goal is to help increase recruiting and retention of wrestlers because they see that the benefits of wrestling aren’t solely tied to winning but to individual growth and future success in their professional lives.

HOW CAN MY COMPANY GET INVOLVED?

If your organization values employees who are hard-working, dedicated, committed, competitive, and have proven their ability to excel during arduous circumstances, then we can help.

Your Next Match promotes your employment opportunities to all 300,000 high school and 13,000 college wrestlers.

In addition, partner companies are provided access to the profiles of Your Next Match candidates seeking opportunities.

Your Next Match transitions high school and college wrestlers from the mat to the workforce by providing career opportunities. Discover your path forward!

Re: Virtual Career Fair on Sept 26, 1-4pm EST

Hello Coaches! The upcoming Wrestlers in Business Network (Virtual) Career Fair will be Thursday, September 26 from 1 - 4pm EST. This event is an outstanding opportunity for your entire roster to seek internships and full-time employment, per our WIBN employer partners across America!

Our previous (virtual) career fairs have connected dozens of companies with hundreds and even thousands of college wrestlers! We look to keep the momentum building this September 26. In follow up, the NWCA and WIBN will be sending your athletic director and college president letters acknowledging your efforts as a coaching staff in providing this opportunity for your wrestlers! It's truly a WIN-WIN for your program! And it's FREE!

We have scheduled this event early, and prior to the start of season, so that wrestlers can get the first opportunity against all competition in gaining internships and full-time employment opportunities. Please take advantage of this event for your entire squad. Register below now!

Click HERE to register your athlete(s) for the Career Fair!

Lastly, with the recent departure of Col David Fallon as WIBN's Career Services Coordinator, Todd Hibbs will be assisting with this year's registration and process for the Career Fair. As you may know, Todd has deep roots in the collegiate wrestling community as a long-time NCAA Division III head coach, athletic director and vice president. Todd has also served as a mentor in the NWCA Leadership Academy and as the announcer for more than 30 NCAA Championships. Should you have questions about the event, contact Todd Hibbs at [email protected] or (616) 612-8580.
