I tried to groom this morning because I was encouraged by some borderline cool enough nighttime temps. OK, I’m a dreamer😆. It didn’t go very well. The window of time I had for the snow to be cold enough but not rock solid wasn’t long enough. It all went too soft in about one hour. My dedication to the sport got me about half way around the whole 9 miles and I scrapped the mission. But that is not stopping us from having our last MOONLIGHT SKI or should I say MOONLIGHT BONFIRE!!! We have some firewood out there that needs to burn on Saturday Night 3/28 at the Deception Pullout at 7pm as usual. Come on out. Let’s bid a fond farewell to this outgoing ski season. We were lucky to have the snow that we did!! Cheers, Mike

Good Monday Morning Everyone! This crazy winter just keeps surprising us. We got 4 inches of snow on Saturday night that caught us off guard. Temperatures dropped enough in the evening yesterday so we were able to groom. Our trails are in good shape now. This week we are expecting sunny and warm daytime temps as high as 50 degrees. Don’t forget to wax and enjoy some spring skiing!!!

It’s a wild and windy day out here on the trails. The show must go on. The trails are in great shape and we’re lucky to have some new snow. Let’s hope the end of March gives us some great opportunities to get outside and be playing in the white stuff. Come on out. !!!!

We had a fun bonfire at Deception last Friday night! Thanks to those that came out, and the crew at the Togwotee Winter Classic Fat Tire Bike Race!

We got SNOW!!!! Winter is back and sending the good stuff! We groomed today and it was a doozy! Thanks to our awesome crew for all their hard work. Come and enjoy the trails!!

This Sunday's ride is a circuit starting/finishing at , using the trails to get us into Christina Lake for lunch and a descent back for some post-ride refreshments. 10am departure from The Rock Shop parking lot. Meet us for part of the ride or the whole thing! It's going to be a beautiful day on wheels!!

It is a beautiful day out here at Deception Creek! Our trails are all freshly groomed this morning. The sun is out already after some early morning snow. Temperature should be up close to 40° today. I’m a firm believer that if you can’t have snow, you can at least have sun to make it a perfect day! Come on out for some spring skiing and some fun in the snow!!!

What a wonderful day. We actually got a little bit of new snow last night. I’m out here Thursday morning grooming, and it has gone from falling snow to sunshine. Come on out and play. Don’t forget the moonlight Ski this month is on Saturday night at 7 o’clock at deception turnout!!!!

1/26/2026 Hi all. Our next Moonlight Ski will be this coming Saturday night at 7pm at the Deception pullout on Togwotee Pass. Bring refreshments, snacks, chair, headlamp, skis, snowshoes and a smile! The bonfire will be blazing!!🔥 The trails will be groomed and the temps are around 20. Looks like a good one!
