Be part of the Georgia National Fair this year by creating a static exhibit or competing in a live event. Email Mrs. Morgan for an entry form ([email protected])! Forms are due back to the Extension Office by September 18th! We will distribute further instructions once entry forms are turned in.

Closing out day 1 of the pollinator census! It may have rained towards the end but we were able to see over 70 people partnering with Visit Dublin GA, Keep Dublin Laurens Beautiful, and UGA Insect Zoo! We will see you tomorrow morning at the Market On Madison! See us for story time, crafts, and information on the count!

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is right around the corner!
This year, you will have two opportunities to count with us!
Meet our 4-H Pollinator Ambassador on Friday, August 21st at the Dublin Visitors Center or Saturday, August 22nd at the Farmers Market!
We will have information about pollinators, how to participate in the Great Pollinator Census, and activities for the kids!

Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging is back!
Practices will begin on Wednesday, August 19th, in the Ag Arena Classroom and will continue on Wednesdays until the district competition on November 5th. This opportunity is open to 4th-12th grade, public, homeschool, and private school students.

This is a two-part contest; through Cotton Boll, youth will explore the history and versatility of "the fabric of our lives" and create a commercial or advertisement with information they learned.
Through Consumer Judging, youth will learn how to best meet the wants and needs of a consumer given a specific situation. They will then have to communicate their reasoning behind their decision with oral reasons.

Before Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Emaley worked for 4-H, we headed back to school just like you!

The Laurens County Livestock Committee will host the 12th annual Heart of Georgia Market Goat and Lamb Show this Friday, July 17th, and Saturday, July 18th.
The Lamb Show will begin at 9 on July 17th, starting with our P*e Wee showmen. Weight class will begin at the conclusion of Showmanship.
