Hello Everyone. We would like to introduce our Founder and Executive Director Nadine Allen.
Nadine Allen is an immigrant from Jamaica that have lived in the Unted States for over twenty-four years. Nadine has spent most of her life organizing and championing community-related programs that involved making a difference in the lives of children and families. Nadine is an organizer at heart and loves to see community groups and churches work together to impact our community. The idea and desire to have a children’s choir and youth orchestra is a part of a dream that was birth through having her children exposed to the music and artistic program at Savannah Classical Academy (SCA Choir and SCA Orchestra) and her daughter being a part of the Savannah Children’s Choir and the Armstrong Youth Orchestra. Nadine and her family moved to Dublin, Georgia in December 2022. This move was an exciting adventure for her and her family. However, the Allen family quickly found out that the availability of musical opportunities was extremely limited in comparison to Savannah. Hence, Nadine began to seek out ways in which she could take what her family was exposed to in Savannah and bring it to Dublin. Thus, the Dublin Youth Vocal and Instruments, Inc was launched! Nadine and her board members and volunteers are looking forward to serving the children, youth, and families of Dublin and the Middle Georgia region through this opportunity of community choir and orchestra.
