In residency, and now as an eye specialist, Dr. Esparaz has seen a lot a trauma to the eyes by not protecting them from the harmful effects of the sun when outdoors. “As a physician, we see damage to the eye that we just cannot repair.” So, yeah, definitely—eye safety gear is so important.
