Spring sports may have claimed most of our crew last night, but four dedicated young ladies showed up ready to serve! 💪🎒 They helped pack backpacks for students at DES—and of course added a little friendly competition to see who could pack the fastest while trying to carry a tune or two in singing… yikes! 😄🎶

We’re so proud of all our youth for jumping into church-led missions like the DES Backpack program and making a difference in such a fun, caring way!

🪩Recap Week 1

🪩Just like the party thrown for the returning son in Luke 15:11-32, Jesus celebrates when we take a single step in his direction and say yes to his invitation. When Jesus invites us in, it’s more than just “You’re welcome here“ It’s “You are wanted here. This party is for you!”

🪩Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the amazing party where everyone celebrates is actually happening here and now. Do not worry about whether or not you will be invited to God’s party, Jesus tells this story to show you that you are invited. You don’t need to be perfect to be invited, Jesus wants you here, just as you are.

🪩Because of Jesus, we don't have to wonder if we made God's invite list. We know exactly how God feels about us.

🪩Celebrate today that you are invited and you have the opportunity to invite someone else. Send in the RSVP, throw the confetti and hang the balloons- it’s time to party!
