One family. Three milestones. One unforgettable weekend.

Brady White, Jerome High School Class of 2022 and goalie for the Army Black Knights men's lacrosse team, has been named team captain—a tremendous honor that reflects his leadership, dedication, and excellence on and off the field.

Meanwhile, his brother Kyle White, Jerome Class of 2024 and a midfielder for the University of Tampa men's lacrosse team, celebrated a National Championship with the Spartans.

And in a storybook family moment, Kyle's championship victory came within minutes of sister Anna White walking across the stage to receive her high school diploma.

The fact that all three of these extraordinary accomplishments took place during the same weekend makes this achievement even more remarkable. From collegiate athletics to military service leadership to a high school graduation, the White family had every reason to celebrate.

Congratulations, Brady, Kyle, and Anna! We are proud to celebrate your achievements and wish you continued success in all that lies ahead.

Today, we are proud to feature three more incredible Dublin graduates as we wrap up our celebration of Black History Month! These individuals have all used their platforms—from the NFL to public health—to spark change and lead with purpose.

Jay Richardson (Class of 2002): After winning a National Championship with the Buckeyes and playing 7 seasons in the NFL, Jay transitioned into a successful career as an Emmy-nominated sports analyst for ABC6 and FOX28. Off-camera, he’s a dedicated community leader. Through the Jay Richardson Foundation, he provides essential life skills to high school students and was honored with the NFL Unsung Athletes Award for his commitment to service.

Chinedum Ndukwe (Class of 2003): Following a standout career at Notre Dame and four years in the NFL with the Bengals and Raiders, Chinedum turned his focus to giving back. He founded the Ndukwe Foundation, which has raised over $100,000 for youth programs and hosts annual wellness camps for hundreds of children. His impact was so significant that the City of Cincinnati officially proclaimed February 10th as “Chinedum Ndukwe Day.”

Tyler TerMeer, PhD (Class of 2001): Dr. TerMeer currently serves as the CEO of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, making history as the first person of color to lead the organization. With over 20 years of advocacy work, his leadership has been recognized by the White House under the Obama administration and honored with numerous social justice awards.

Our Black History Month series continues as we celebrate two more incredible alumni who have left an indelible mark on our country and our community: Norman Wesley Tarpley and J. Mel Reid. Both men exemplify service, whether on the battlefield or through decades of civil rights advocacy.

Norman Wesley Tarpley (Class of 1963): A standout athlete and a true hero. At Dublin High, Norman was an All-State football player known for his skill on the line. After graduation, he answered the call to serve his country in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Division. We honor the memory of Norman, who gave his life in the line of duty in 1968. His legacy of bravery and sacrifice remains a profound part of our school’s history.

J. Mel Reid (Class of 1965): From the Dublin stage and track team to a distinguished 38-year career in federal service, J. Mel Reid has dedicated his life to opening doors for others. As the first-ever Regional Civil Rights Director for the U.S. Forest Service, he championed equity and recruitment across the nation. A cancer survivor and tireless volunteer, Mel has completed 24 mission trips to help disaster victims and even appeared in the film "Glory" as an African American Civil War re-enactor.

Their stories remind us that leadership takes many forms—from the ultimate sacrifice to a lifetime of advocacy and mentorship.
