What does 50 years of impact look like? It looks like a room full of more than 400 physicians, students, and community members coming together to celebrate the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation was honored to serve as presenting sponsor of The Heritage College's 50th Anniversary Gala. Congratulations to HCOM on 50 extraordinary years — and to the 5,000+ graduates who carry this mission forward every day.

A special congratulations to OHF Board Member Jeffrey Hutchison, DO, who was recognized with the Medal of Merit for his 23 years of leadership directing the Doctors Hospital Ophthalmology Residency Program. Well deserved, Dr. Hutchison!

With roots dating back to 1940, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation is proud to recognize National Osteopathic Medicine Week and celebrate the ongoing impact of the osteopathic profession.

We remain committed to our mission to improve the health and quality of life in the community through education, research, and service consistent with our osteopathic heritage.

The story of osteopathic medicine is one of remarkable growth and meaningful impact.

Since 1935, the profession has grown by more than 158,000 DOs, reflecting the expanding role of osteopathic care across the nation and the demand for whole-person care.

This National Osteopathic Medicine Week, we’re celebrating the Osteopathic Journey and the difference it makes every day.

We are honored to partner with Kansas City University to recognize the leadership and commitment of OHF board member Capt. Rebecca deVillers, DO. In establishing this scholarship endowment at her alma mater, we recognize not only her service to the Foundation, but the path that shaped her and her desire to extend that opportunity to others.

This investment reflects a shared commitment to advancing osteopathic medicine by supporting students in a way that is accessible and responsive to their needs, helping reduce financial barriers so they can focus on their education and the work ahead.

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation (the Foundation) recently established a $500,000 endowed scholarship in honor of Kansas City University  alumna Capt. Rebecca deVillers, MC, USN, DO.
