🏁 What a Pinewood Derby! 🏁

Behind every Pinewood Derby car is more than just a block of wood and four wheels. It takes planning, patience, sanding, shaping, painting, testing, and sometimes starting over. Scouts work hard to follow the rules, measure carefully, and make sure their cars are race ready. Along the way they learn that the real tools for success aren’t fancy equipment, they’re experience, a willingness to learn, and a whole lot of grit. 💪

Every Scout who raced today should be proud! You showed creativity, determination, and great sportsmanship. Congratulations to all of our Cub Scouts!

A special shoutout goes to our Overall Pack Champion, whose car absolutely flew down the track, clocking a speed right around 209 mph (Pinewood Derby scale speed)! Even more impressive… that car outran every adult racer too! 🚗💨

Of course, the Pinewood Derby isn’t just about speed. Some of the most exciting awards celebrate the imagination and craftsmanship that make each car unique. Our Best in Show award is voted on by fellow Scouts and recognizes the car that truly stands out for its creativity, detail, and originality. Our Leadership Pick award is selected by the pack leaders to honor a design that shows exceptional effort, uniqueness, and craftsmanship. These awards are a big deal because they celebrate the creativity, hard work, and personality each Scout brings to their build. 🎨🏆

Events like this don’t just happen, they’re built through teamwork, learning new skills, and trying again when something doesn’t work the first time. And the excitement we saw today already has us looking forward to next year’s Derby… where there might just be a few glowing new ideas racing onto the track. 👀✨

To all our racers: Great job today. We’re proud of you! To our families, Thank you for supporting our cubs, having fun with us and bringing them to every event.

Racers… start your tiny engines! 💨

The Pinewood Derby race begins at 11:00 AM sharp! Our track is set, the lanes are polished, and we’re ready to see which car is the fastest on the block. 🏁

Bring your speed machines, your cheering voices, and maybe a little good luck!
After the racing action wraps up, stick around for our Blue & Gold Ceremony as we celebrate our Scouts and all their hard work this year. 💙💛

Will your car take the trophy? or just look really cool doing it? Either way, we’ll see you at the track! 🏎️🏁
