📢 Diapers & More, Co. Community Update 📢

I wanted to give everyone an update on Diapers & More, Co. — we are STILL operating and serving families in our community! ❤️

For those who may not know me, I’m Tonya. I’m a mom of six, a full-time MSW student, and currently working at Perry County Counseling Center (PCCC) on Tuesdays and Thursdays while also spending much of my week in St. Louis with my daughter, Anna, as she attends medical appointments.

Because of everything going on, I am currently the only active volunteer with Diapers & More, Co., which means deliveries are much more limited than they have been in the past.

📍 PICKUPS
Thanks to the support of my supervisor at PCCC, anyone needing items we have in stock may arrange to meet me during my lunch break at PCCC for pickup.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I am typically in St. Louis with Anna. However, someone is usually available at our home if families need to arrange a pickup.

🚗 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for volunteers willing to help deliver items to families who may not have transportation. If you’re interested in helping, please reach out!

🛍 COMING SOON: COMMUNITY GIVEAWAY/YARD SALE
We are planning a free community event where families can come and take what they need. We have items ranging from diapers and baby supplies to maternity clothing and children’s items. More details will be announced once I can get everything organized and out of storage.

❤️ CURRENT DONATION NEEDS
• Pull-Ups (all sizes)
• Size 6 diapers
• Wet wipes
• Baby bath items
• New or gently used toys for all ages

🤱 EXPECTING MOTHER BASKETS
We love creating baskets for expecting moms! Donations may include:
• Newborn clothing
• Blankets
• Diapers (NB & Size 1)
• Wipes
• Bottles
• Baby books
• Diaper rash cream
• Breast pads
• Postpartum care items
• Self-care items for mom
• Heating pads
• Hydrating drinks
• Laundry baskets

Anything that helps a new mother feel supported, encouraged, and cared for is appreciated.

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER
Diapers & More, Co. ONLY accepts donated items. We do NOT accept monetary donations.

I also want to address a rumor that has unfortunately circulated. I do NOT use donated items for my own children. Every donated item is intended for the community and families in need. In fact, I frequently donate items from my own household and have personally purchased items for families when we did not have them available in stock.

Transparency is extremely important to me, and I want our community to know that every donation is treated with respect and used for its intended purpose.

🏢 FUTURE GOAL: DIAPERS & MORE CABINETS
One project I hope to launch is a Diapers & More, Co. community cabinet stocked with essential items for children and families. I am reaching out to local leaders and businesses about this idea. If you own a business and would be interested in hosting a cabinet, please contact me!

📋 NONPROFIT STATUS
Diapers & More, Co. is currently registered as a nonprofit with the State of Illinois, but we are NOT a 501(c)(3) organization at this time. If anyone is familiar with the 501(c)(3) application process and would be interested in helping us gain this status, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

If we don’t have what you need, please contact The Clothes Closet in Du Quoin. They provide diapers, formula, baby food, clothing, toiletries, and more.

We would like to send a huge THANK YOU to Du Quoin State Bank for partnering with Diapers and More, Co. and collecting donations for our organization! Your kindness and support mean so much to the families we serve.

Because of your generosity, these donations are now ready to be given back to the children and families in Perry County who need them most. Together, we are making a difference in our community and helping ensure that families have access to essential items.

*PLEASE NOTE: This is for one of my children*
As many may know, my daughter, Anna, has cerebral palsy. I am looking for a bumbo seat for her because her physical therapist thinks it would possibly be beneficial for her to gain head and trunk control.
I can pick up or you can drop off at 207 S. Leonard Ave. here in Du Quoin, IL.
It will be donated to diapers and more after she out grows it!

💙 COMMUNITY SUPPORT REQUEST – BABY BOY ARRIVING SOON 💙

We have a sweet momma in our community who will be welcoming her baby boy via C-section on January 18th or 19th. This has been a high-risk pregnancy, and with frequent trips to St. Louis for medical care, finances have become stretched thin.

She has been able to gather plenty of clothes, but is still in need of essential baby items to prepare for his arrival.

🍼 ITEMS NEEDED:

• Socks & mittens
• Diaper bag
• Car seat (must meet current safety standards)
• Stroller
• Bassinet

Every donation—big or small—helps ease the stress of welcoming a new baby and ensures this momma and her little one start off with what they need.

📣 WE NEED A BREAST PUMP FOR OUR MOMS! 🤱💜

Diapers & More, Co. is currently supporting several local families who are in urgent need of a breast pump so they can continue providing nourishment for their babies — but we don’t have one available right now.

💜 Momma in Need – Community Support Request 💜

We have a sweet momma reaching out during a really difficult season, and we’re hoping our community can help surround her with support.

She recently experienced some hard personal circumstances during a move and lost nearly all of her baby’s belongings. Her little girl will be turning ONE next month, and right now mom is just trying to make sure her basic needs are met.

Current needs include:
• 18-month girls clothing
• A diaper bag
• Baby essentials (toothbrush, nail clippers, hygiene items, etc.)

At this time, mom is unable to provide birthday items for her daughter, and even small donations would mean the world to this family.

Thankfully we are able to get this basket delivered to a momma who is being induced tomorrow. It is stocked with some essential items but is missing a few things such as bottles, newborn baby boy clothes, socks, and mittens.
If anyone is willing to donate, please reach out for drop off!
