Joan C. Robertson, Age 79 of DuBois, PA died Friday, March 3, 2023 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA.

Born on March 13, 1943 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis & Christine (Slack) Alburg.

On April 8, 1972, she married Douglas “Alan” Robertson. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2012.

Joan had worked in the art department at Jackson China and had worked for Weight Watchers for over 20 years.

She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where she was very active in church affairs. Joan was also a member of the Contemporary Women’s Club of DuBois and enjoyed traveling and doing crafts.

Joan is survived by two children, (Crystal L. Sayers & her husband Shawn of DuBois, PA, and Brent A. Robertson & his wife Ainsley of Lake Mary, FL), 5 grandchildren (Tate, Gavin, and Reese Sayers, and Elsie Jane & Bevan Robertson), a great grandson, (Cleo Sayers), and a sister (Patricia “Patty” Melani of DuBois, PA).

She was preceded in death by her brother (Dennis Alburg) and brother-in-law (Pete Melani).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. from St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the Desire Cemetery.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests that you make a memorial contribution to the Contemporary Women’s Club of DuBois Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 76, DuBois, PA 15801.

Our club picnic will be Wednesday, August 10 at 6 o’clock. It will be at the Sandy Township Park, pavilion number 2. Tableware and drinks will be provided … The main food groups will be covered, so everyone just bring whatever dish you would like to share! There will be no meeting, just a fun social gathering!
