Proclamation by Governor Shapiro. A proclamation can't erase loss, but it can reaffirm a shared commitment to action. Today's proclamation of Pennsylvania Overdose Awareness Day reflects the Commonwealth's ongoing commitment to raising awareness, preventing overdose, expanding access to treatment and recovery, and supporting Pennsylvanians affected by substance use disorder.

WJAC stopped by, and Shane, our CSP Ambassador, was interviewed about the event and the importance of connecting individuals with local resources. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, fun activities, and the chance to learn about services available in our community.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped plan, volunteer, and share resources, and to all who attended. We couldn't have done it without you!
💙 Together, we're building a stronger, more connected community.

Communities aren’t built from the sidelines.

They’re built by people who show up, who enter the arena 💪

Every day our stores open their doors. Hundreds of employees come to work.
Neighbors help neighbors. Small businesses invest in our DuBois Community. Together we make DuBois stronger.

This Saturday, DuBois Gives Hope, is showing up for those in our community who need it most.

Because hope begins with people who care.

We hope you’ll join us 💕

The language of mental health has entered everyday conversation, which is mostly good. But when clinical terms become casual shorthand for ordinary human experience, something important gets lost: the ability to recognize when someone actually needs help.

Here is what several of these words actually mean, and what they don’t:

June is National PTSD Awareness Month.
This month is dedicated to raising awareness about post‑traumatic stress disorder and encouraging those affected to seek support. PTSD can impact anyone who has experienced trauma — including veterans, survivors of assault, accidents, or natural disasters.

National PTSD Awareness Day is June 27, 2026, a day focused on reducing stigma, promoting understanding, and reminding us of the importance of recognizing symptoms and accessing effective treatment.

Throughout June, take time to learn about PTSD, share resources, and support those who may be struggling. Awareness creates understanding — and understanding helps people heal.
