The Tiger Den of Pack 135 had a fantastic night enjoying and singing along to music by the Mountain Echoes Dulcimer Troupe! With some familiar songs and some new to us, we enjoyed experiencing a new art form in our community as we work towards earning our art adventure. Thank you to all the members of the troupe for allowing us to get up close and experience your instruments, and to Ms Fran and the Brandon Township Public Library for hosting this event!

Last week, Ortonville Cub Scout Pack 135 had the chance to visit with first responders at the Brandon Fire Department Ortonville, Mi. Stations 1, 2 & 3 and Brandon Substation. The kids enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the facilities, met with personnel, and brought our local heroes a special delivery of popcorn donations collected during our fall sales. Thank you to all first responders and everything you do to keep our community safe! 🚒🚔🚑

On this Veterans Day, we thank all who have served and sacrificed for our country. We also extend an extra special thank you to the members of our local Vfw Post 582 Ortonville Mi. who continue to represent and serve our country and community.

We Need Your Help!

Ortonville Cub Scout Pack 135 is so close to selling out our fall popcorn fundraiser and has limited stock of the following left available:

🍿 White Cheddar Popcorn (8)
🍿 Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn (15)

🔚 Our final storefront will be at the Ortonville Tractor Supply this Sunday, Nov 9th, from 10AM-2PM.

💲All remaining items are $20 apiece and can be purchased using cash or card.

🇺🇸 Don’t eat popcorn? We are also collecting popcorn purchase donations to gift to local first responders at the end of the fundraising season to show our appreciation for all they do for our community!

🥰 Pack 135 would like to extend a huge thank you to the members of the community for all the amazing support we have received this year - we couldn’t do this without your generous support of our program!

🗓️ Do you have a child interested in joining Cub Scouts? Come visit Ortonville Cub Scout Pack 135 at Oakwood Elementary on Monday, October 6, or Harvey-Swanson Elementary School on Monday, October 13.

👦🏻👧🏽 All Boys and Girls in grades K-5 and their families are welcome, enrollment in Brandon School District is not necessary. We've got a great program planned for this year, and we hope you'll consider joining us!

Earlier this week, members of Ortonville Cub Scout Pack 135 attended the annual Purple Heart Ceremony and Flag Retirement at the Brandon Township Public Library. It was a great evening of paying our respects to our local veterans, as well as learning about the proper care and disposal of the US flag.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our local veterans and Purple Heart recipients for the sacrifices they've made, Ms. Fran Hotchkiss for organizing the event, Mr. Alan Allgaier for providing an impressive musical performance, and Ortonville Scouts BSA Troop 139 for creating an opportunity to teach the Cub Scouts about flag folding and the retirement ceremony. We are lucky to have such a great community of role models leading the way in so many areas!
