Grant County Community Gardens

The goal of the distribution garden is to enrich our neighbor's lives by providing educational and community service opportunities through hands-on activities while providing nutritional fruits and vegetables to families in need. , The Grant County Fiscal Court, Grant County Extension Service and 4-H along with the Community Action Commission and the Vineyard Church of Grant County will be planting a 1 acre community garden with the goal of feeding those in need and providing community service programs as well as educational opportunities for the residents of Grant County. The site for the Community Garden, located on the grounds of the County Maintenance Facility on Hopperton Lane in Dry Ridge, behind Dry Ridge Toyota, was made available through the Grant County Fiscal Court, and is poised to provide the residents of Grant County with a location for County Extension service and education programs. The garden will also be the source of fresh vegetables that will be made available to families in need through programs at both the Vineyard Church and Community Action Commission who will be working with the Grant County Extension Office to provide nutritional education and cooking classes that will improve nutrition for as many as 100 families around the county.
