Our troop did a wonderful job spreading some Christmas cheer today at Grant Healthcare & Rehabilitation! They visited with folks handing out cards and crafts they made and did a little caroling. This "wrapped" up our busy December.

At our troop meeting yesterday, we made cute Indian corn keychains and made Gratitude Jars with a few things we're thankful. When they're having a bad day, they can reach into their jar and be reminded of things that they are blessed to have 🧡

We love troop meetings! Yesterday, we celebrated the upcoming birthday of Girl Scouts founder, Juliette Gordon Low, and talked about how to plan a party. Then we had our own little party with cupcakes and songs and crafted birthday cards to give to a friend. 🥳

It has been such an exciting, busy week for our Troop overflowing with fun and learning. The girls completed THREE badges just this week!!

Today, we had an amazing tour of the State Capitol, met with our State Representative Savannah Maddox, our State Senator Damon Thayer, and even got to say hello to Governor Andy Beshear! I don't think it's everyday that girls get to receive their Democracy Badge in the House Chamber, so what an honor.

Yesterday, the Troop completed their Horseback Riding badges with Mrs. Shirley at Riding With Rhythm. Shirley is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts herself! They got to visit not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES to cover all of the requirements under this badge and had so much fun. We'll also note that the Troop was able to pay for this because of money raised from cookie sales. Way to go girls!

Shew... what a busy day in Troop 1975!! First, the girls earned their First Aid badges with Diana Morgan, a recently-retired EMT who was with the Dry Ridge Fire Department for over 42 years. They made awesome first aid kits in Pringles cans! Chief Cammack made them Firefighters for the day and gave them commemorative hats.

Then, we went to the other side of the building where we were introduced at the City Council meeting! Super cool 🤩

Thank you so much Diana, Ashley Humphrey-Brinker, and everyone at City of Dry Ridge for making this such a fun, learning-packed evening for our girls. And thanks to Dawn Little at Minuteman Press, Florence for the certificates! We are so proud to be a part of this wonderful little community ❤️

The troop visited a honeybee farm and learned all about beekeeping, honey, and how they can help pollinators. Thanks so much Kate for hosting us!

Happy 4th of July from our Troop! They had such a fun day in the parade in Williamstown today. Also sharing some patriotic Bald Eagle handprint/firework artwork we made at the last meeting 🎆

Our Troop attended the Memorial Day service at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North this morning and received their Memorial Day patch. What a beautiful cemetery we have right here in Grant County! ❤️🇺🇲💙

Our first ever cookie booth today! Thank you so much Tractor Supply Co. in Williamstown for allowing us to set up and to everyone who bought cookies. We have cookies on hand and ready to purchase for $5 a box! Contact a troop member or leader or send us a message to get yours before they're gone 😋
Or troop gets to keep a portion of the sale from each box and that money will help fund activities, service projects, badges, crafts, meeting snacks, etc.
