The Drums Lioness Lions Club hosted a food drive to benefit the Valley Food Pantry. The generosity of our community members was on full display as they donated hundreds of cans of vegetables, boxes of pasta, paper towels, toilet paper, fruit juices, and other necessary items to re-stock the pantry shelves.
Thank to Mark Tokash at Valley Hometown Market, for allowing the Lioness Club to run this service project at your Conyngham store; to all of the Lioness Lions who came out to work the event; and to the extremely generous community members for all of your support. We couldn’t do this without you!

Drums Lioness Lions had a great evening joining other clubs in District 14W at the Rail Riders game supporting Four Diamonds and Childhood Cancer. Thanks to all of the clubs attending. A special shout-out to the Pittston Area H.S. Leo club and their fabulous fundraising donation.

Members of the Drums Lioness Lions Club participated in the Community Services for Sight, Honey Hole 5K: Run for the Glasses. All proceeds from this event go toward Community Services for Sight, who offer a variety of services for the blind and visually impaired in order to help them to remain independent members of their community.

The Drums Lioness Lions Club awarded their 8th Grade Service and Leadership award to Alexa Brace, an 8th grade student at Drums Middle School. Alexa demonstrates the service, leadership, and community-minded volunteerism which are at the heart of Lionism. The Lioness Lions wish Alexa the best of luck as she enters into her high school years.

Do you have old eyeglasses, sunglasses or readers? Don't throw them out. We have collection boxes throughout the area. Even broken glasses can be used for repairs. Look for our collection boxes at the following places: Vesuvio's, Drums, Butler Twp Community Center, Providence Place, Conygham Post Office, and Eye Care Associates. The glasses are processed at a center in NJ and distributed world wide . Give someone the gift of sight 🤓 🦁

We made our last visit and book donation to Luzerne County Head Start, Vine West Center this week. In addition to reading and our book donation, our Lioness crew helped the children to plant flowers to take home for the summer. Thank you Miss Haydee and Miss Maria for another great year. 🦁
