When a child or family is in crisis, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.

EPOS Crisis Care was created for those hard moments when a young person is overwhelmed, hurting, struggling, or walking through something they should not have to face alone.

This program is here for children, teens, and families facing some of life’s toughest situations. That may include mental health struggles, bullying, trauma, abuse, neglect, grief, loss, suicidal thoughts, a death in the family, serious accidents, family hardship, or other crisis situations.

In those moments, EPOS can be a place to start.

Through Crisis Care, EPOS works to provide support, guidance, counseling resources, community connections, and compassionate help for youth and families who need someone to step in and help identify the next right step.

Sometimes crisis looks obvious.
Sometimes it looks like a child pulling away.
A teen saying they are fine when they are not.
A student being bullied quietly.
A young person grieving silently.
A family trying to process sudden loss, trauma, or an accident.
A parent unsure of what to do next.

No child should feel alone in their struggle, and no family should feel like they have to navigate a crisis without support.

EPOS Crisis Care exists to bring hope into hard places and help kids and families move toward safety, healing, and support.

If your child or family is facing a difficult season, please reach out. EPOS is here.

A new week feels like the perfect time to say this:

EPOS Outreach is growing.

There is so much happening behind the scenes right now. Conversations, planning, partnerships, programs, ideas, and new opportunities are all moving with one goal in mind: helping more kids and families find the support they need.

Some seasons are loud and full of big moments. Other seasons are quieter, but they are just as important. This is one of those building seasons.

We are working, praying, planning, and preparing for what is ahead, and we truly believe there are exciting things coming for the youth and families we are called to serve.

At the heart of it all, our mission has not changed.

Kids need opportunity.
Families need support.
Communities need resources.
And hope needs people willing to build something that lasts.

EPOS Outreach is thankful for every person who believes in this mission, supports it, shares it, gives to it, prays for it, and helps move it forward.

There is more to come, and we cannot wait to share it with you.

As we wrap up another school week, this has been on our hearts.

Kids are carrying a lot more than most of us realize.

Some are walking into school confident and excited. Some are nervous. Some are trying to fit in. Some are dealing with things at home. Some are struggling quietly and hoping nobody notices.

That is why the people around them matter so much.

A coach who checks in.
A teacher who pays attention.
A mentor who keeps showing up.
A parent who asks again when “I’m fine” does not feel like the whole answer.
A community that refuses to let kids feel forgotten.

At EPOS Outreach, we believe every child needs support, encouragement, and people who truly care about what they are walking through.

This school year, let’s keep looking a little closer. Let’s keep listening a little longer. Let’s keep reminding our kids that they are not alone and that their future matters.

EPOS is here for the kids and families who need a place to start.

One thing every kid deserves this school year is a place to belong.

Not just a classroom.
Not just a team.
Not just a name on a roster.

A real place where they feel seen, welcomed, encouraged, and supported.

Belonging matters.

When kids feel connected, they are more likely to show up, participate, ask for help, try again after setbacks, and believe there is room for them in the future.

At EPOS Outreach, so much of our work comes back to that one idea.

Mentorship gives kids someone in their corner.
Champions helps create positive opportunities through schools.
SOLE helps student athletes participate with confidence.
Crisis Care helps families find support when life feels heavy.
Sports Experience gives kids a week of connection, growth, and purpose.

We want every kid to know this school year:

You have a place.
You have people.
You have a future worth building.

This week, look for the kid standing a little outside the group. Ask the extra question. Make the invitation. Speak the encouragement.

Sometimes belonging starts with one person making room.

Is your child lacking something they need to have the best start possible this school year?

Sometimes it is confidence.
Sometimes it is encouragement.
Sometimes it is mentorship, guidance, or someone safe to talk to.
Sometimes it is support during a hard season.
And for some student athletes, it may be the shoes or gear they need to fully participate.

As families settle into the school year, EPOS Outreach wants parents to know they do not have to figure everything out alone.

Through our outreach programs, EPOS works to support kids and families by helping connect them with mentorship, crisis care, youth development opportunities, athletic support, and guidance toward the next right step.

If your child is struggling, needing extra support, or missing the opportunity to participate because of sports-related needs, please reach out.

No child should have to start the school year feeling unsupported, unseen, or left behind.

EPOS Outreach is here for the kids, here for families, and here to help.

As kids settle back into school, here is one simple question every parent can and should ask:

“Who is your safe adult?”

Not just their favorite teacher.
Not just someone they think is nice.
But the person they would feel comfortable going to if something felt wrong.

A safe adult may be a parent, coach, teacher, counselor, mentor, youth leader, grandparent, or trusted family friend. It is the person a child knows will listen, believe them, and help them take the next right step.

And our kids need that.

Recent national data shows that about 1 in 5 students ages 12 to 18 reported being bullied during school. Among students who were bullied, fewer than half told an adult at school.

The CDC also reports that 4 in 10 high school students experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, and 1 in 5 seriously considered attempting su***de.

Those numbers are hard to read, but they remind us why paying attention matters.

A safe adult can be the person who notices when a child is being bullied.
The person who catches the change in their mood.
The person who asks one more question.
The person who helps them speak up when they are scared.
The person who helps connect them with support before things get heavier.

This school year, let’s make sure our kids know exactly who they can go to.

Ask them. Name that person together. Remind them that asking for help will never make them a burden.

And adults, let’s be the kind of people kids feel safe coming to.

At EPOS Outreach, we believe every child deserves to be seen, heard, supported, and surrounded by people who care.

If your child needs extra support, mentorship, resources, or help during a difficult season, please reach out and let us help.

A new week is a new opportunity to make a difference.

Sometimes changing a child’s life starts with something simple.

A word of encouragement.
A mentor who shows up.
A coach who notices.
A resource at the right time.
A safe place to ask for help.
A community that believes their future matters.

At EPOS Outreach, we believe small moments of support can become turning points for kids and families.

That is why we continue working to remove barriers, provide guidance, create opportunities, and connect youth with programs that help them grow in confidence, character, and hope.

This week, we encourage you to look for one way to encourage a young person in your life.

Because sometimes one person believing in a child can help them believe in themselves.

EPOS Outreach is here for the kids, the families, and the future.

The countdown has quietly begun.

EPOS Outreach is already preparing for our Heartland to Hope Gala, and while February may feel far away, the heart behind this night is already moving.

This gala is more than a beautiful evening. It is one of the ways our community helps make the mission of EPOS possible.

Because of the support surrounding this event, EPOS is able to continue pouring into kids and families through mentorship, crisis care, housing support, athletics, essential resources, leadership development, and programs that help create stability, confidence, and hope.

Every table filled, every auction item donated, every sponsor, every guest, and every person who chooses to be part of this night helps carry the mission forward.

We are getting ready for something special, and we cannot wait to share more in the days ahead.

Heartland to Hope is more than a gala.

It is a room full of people coming together for kids, families, and futures worth investing in.

Stay tuned. More details are coming soon.

Fall sign-ups are open for EPOS Outreach programs!

As students return to school and families settle into the fall season, EPOS Outreach wants our community to know that support is available.

EPOS exists to support youth, families, coaches, and schools by helping remove barriers, provide guidance, and connect kids with opportunities that help them grow, participate, and succeed.

This fall, we are highlighting four key EPOS Outreach programs:

Crisis Care Program
Support for youth and families facing difficult or urgent seasons, including mental health concerns, bullying, trauma, grief, suicidal thoughts, family hardship, or other crisis situations. Parents, guardians, families, or individuals seeking support for a child or teen can access the Crisis Care application directly on our website.

EPOS Mentorship Program
Connecting youth with caring mentors who provide encouragement, accountability, guidance, and support. This program helps students build confidence, set goals, navigate challenges, grow in leadership, and feel less alone. Parents, guardians, or youth seeking mentorship support can apply directly on our website.

EPOS Champions Program
Empowering youth through sports, education, wellness, mentorship, and life skills development. EPOS works directly with schools to create structured, supervised opportunities that may include after-school sports, wellness education, academic encouragement, goal-setting, leadership development, and inspirational speaking opportunities. Schools interested in partnering with EPOS are encouraged to reach out to us directly.

EPOS SOLE Program
Helping provide athletic shoes and basic needs for student athletes who may not otherwise have access to the proper gear they need to participate. Junior high and high school coaches, athletic directors, or school administrators can apply on behalf of a student, team, or school in need.

At EPOS Outreach, we believe every child deserves access to encouragement, opportunity, resources, and people who believe in their future.

Whether your child needs mentorship, your family needs crisis support, your school is interested in the Champions Program, or your athletes need help through the SOLE Program, EPOS is here to help.
