Hello Everyone,

If you're on Drummond Island for Jeep Jamboree this week, we'd love to invite you to an informal meet-and-greet dinner on Thursday evening.

The dinner is being hosted by the Drummond Island Off-Road Alliance (DIORA) and is open to DIORA members, Jeep Jamboree participants, DNR staff, local trail stewards, and anyone interested in responsible recreation and the future of Drummond Island's trail system.

When: Thursday, June 18 at 7:30PM
Where: PINS Restaurant at the Drummond Island Resort

This is simply an opportunity to enjoy a meal, meet fellow trail users and enthusiasts, share stories, and get to know the people who care about keeping Drummond Island's trail network open, enjoyable, and sustainable for future generations.

Whether you're a long-time island resident, a first-time Jamboree participant, a volunteer, a steward, or a public land manager, we'd love to have you join us.

If you plan to attend, please let us know so we can provide the restaurant with an estimated headcount.

The Drummond Island Off-Road Alliance (DIORA) has applied for the BFGoodrich Tires Outstanding Trails Grant, presented by Tread Lightly!, to help support our Fall Trail Cleanup effort.

This grant would help us continue our work to keep Drummond Island's trails clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone while promoting responsible recreation and stewardship.

Now we wait... 🤞

Monday's meeting marked an exciting milestone as DIORA officially transitioned from its startup phase into a member-elected Board of Directors structure. We’re incredibly grateful for the support, participation, and enthusiasm that continues to grow around responsible recreation and trail stewardship on Drummond Island.

We’re excited to announce the newly elected 2026 DIORA Board of Directors:

President – Justin Bailey
Vice President – Derek VanSpronsen
Secretary – Amy Bernhard
Treasurer – Beth Bailey
Director at Large – Becca Spalding
Director at Large – Matt Regalia
Director at Large – Jay Stressman

A huge thank you as well to everyone who stepped forward, participated in discussions, volunteered their time, and helped shape this organization during its early stages.

We also shared several exciting updates during the meeting, including:
• 37 voting memberships and 32 community members currently involved with DIORA
• Continued collaboration with the Michigan DNR and local organizations
• Upcoming discussions surrounding trail improvement funding and future projects
• Progress toward filing DIORA’s IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit application

Thank you again for being part of this exciting next step. We’re just getting started.
