REMINDER: Our next DISS planning meeting is Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30pm in the Twp Hall. We will be setting up teams for pre-winter trail clean up and installing the permanent trail signs on Heritage Trail/Twp Park & Big Shoal Bay Park Trail. Also, we will be discussing other hiking trail options to pursue in 2026.

So mark this meeting on your calendar. See you next Tuesday!

Be aware of hunters while hiking. Best times to hike to avoid disrupting hunters is mid-day, since most hunters are out early morning and evenings.

Check out our HAP lands located throughout Chippewa and Mackinac county!

Sharp-Tail Grouse lands open tomorrow, October 10th, 2025 and runs through October 31st, 2025. All maps are available on our website at clmcd.org/hunting-access-program

Do you enjoy kayaking around Drummond Island? Here's your chance to win a kayak with paddle and gift certificate for accessories.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the Fall on the Island Festival Friday evening and all Saturday until the drawing at 4pm.

Tickets are also available Wednesday 10/8 & Thursday 10/9th at the Drummond Island Credit Union, Drummond Island Outfitters, and the Drummond Island Visitor Center, during normal hours.
