This week, Global Child Advocates, in collaboration with the Kinondoni Social Welfare Department, stepped into schools to have honest and empowering conversations with students about abuse; what it is, how to recognize it, and most importantly, how to speak up and seek help.
These are not easy conversations. But they are necessary.
Because when children understand their rights, when they know the signs of harm, and when they feel safe enough to report abuse, we begin to break cycles of silence and vulnerability. We begin to build a future where children are not just protected but truly thriving in caring and protective families.
Change starts with awareness. It grows through community. And it becomes lasting when we all choose to act.
Together, we can create safer environments where every child belongs, every voice matters, and every story has hope.
