🌱 Raising awareness. Creating safer spaces. Protecting children. ❤️

Our Child Abuse Awareness Training at Gate-1 Center brought together 29 parents—some learning about child abuse for the very first time.

The conversations opened eyes, sparked reflection, and inspired participants to learn more and bring awareness back to their families and communities.

Every child deserves to be safe, respected, and protected. 🌿

For Daw Thandar and her family, this "family day out" provided by GCA Myanmar offered a rare chance to step away from daily challenges and reconnect through joy. 💛 Supporting a Family in Need

A little girl was left in her grandmother’s care after her mother had to leave due to difficult circumstances. Her grandmother had debts, lost her home, and had nowhere to go.

GCA stepped in to support them with food and housing assistance. Later, the mother returned, and they are now living together again.

We continue to support the family through Child Abuse Awareness and Parenting Training, helping to create a safer and healthier environment for the child.

Keep Our Environment Clean 🌱

Last week, around 65 children and our team joined a community clean-up activity in Mae Ku Luang. 🧹🌿

The children learned how a clean environment helps protect our health, safety, and well-being, while litter and pollution can negatively affect people and the community.

They also put their learning into practice by collecting rubbish and cleaning their community. Through this hands-on activity, they learned that even small actions can make a big difference. 💚

Nearly two years ago, we met a father with a serious health issue. His health was so poor that he could barely walk, and he was at risk of losing his two daughters after their mother left.

With support from GCA, he received food assistance, rental support, and parenting training.

Today, he has regained his strength, takes his daughters to and from school, and provides them with a safe and loving home.

Because of your support, this family stayed together, and two children were able to grow up with the care and love of their father.

💙 Positive Parenting Training – Session 1

In the third week of June, we held Positive Parenting Training in Mae Ku Luang community with 74 parents and caregivers.

Participants learned about stress management, emotional awareness, mindfulness, and positive parenting through interactive activities and a family short film.

Many committed to speaking more kindly with their children, avoiding physical punishment, and solving family challenges together.
