Photographers of Dripping Springs Keepin Drippin Clickin Photographers of Dripping Springs (P.O.D.S.)

consists of photographers, both amateur and professional, who meet regularly to learn, to shoot, and to share our photography. Our activities include regular monthly meetings, field trips, exhibitions, workshops and other learning opportunities, and support of local civic organizations.

The Photographers of Dripping Springs (PODS) monthly meeting is this Thursday, March 27, 6:30 p.m., in the church hall at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 301 Hays Country Acres Rd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.

The Speaker is Steve Friedman, President of the Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL), he will be presenting a brief overview of DSAL and their new reciprocal membership arrangement with PODS, and invite us to explore DSAL programs, exhibits, markets, and more.

Open and free to the public.

Come join us tonight for our monthly meeting. We will meet August 22nd at 6:30pm - location: Holy Spirit Episcopal Church 301 Hays Country Acres Rd in Dripping Springs. Our meetings are free and open to the public- all ages are welcome.

"Our speaker this month will be Tim Babiak, a Certified Professional Photographer by the Professional Photographers of America. Tim serves on the boards of directors of the Texas Professional
Photographers Association and Austin Professional Photographers Association. He is a two-time recipient of the Photographer of the Year award from the Austin Professional Photographers Association. He’s also a long-time instructor at Precision Camera, having helped hundreds of aspiring photographers learn more about the craft.

Tonight is the night for our monthly meeting!

The next PODS meeting will this Thursday July 25th at our usual location, Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 301 Hays Country Acres Road. Starting time is 6:30 PM but please be there a few minutes early if you can so we can start on time and give our speaker plenty of time for her presentation and questions afterward. Meetings are free and open to the public- all ages welcome.

Our speaker will be Melody Lytle. Melody is a retired endangered species biologist here in Austin. She specializes in birds but she has also taken amazing photos of mammals, reptiles, turtles and insects.

The next PODS meeting will be Thursday June 27 at our usual location, Holy Spirit Episcopal Church 301 Hays Country Acres Road. Starting time is 6:30 PM but please be there a few minutes early if you can so we can start on time and give our speaker plenty of time for his presentation and questions afterward. Meetings are free and open to the public- all ages welcome.

Our speaker this month will be Pete Holland. Pete will be speaking on Infrared and HDR photography. Pete has a wealth of photographic knowledge. He started Holland Photo in the early 80’s and has worked in photography his whole career. If you are interested in HDR or Infrared or just want to learn more – this will be the meeting you do not want to miss.

Tonight (February 22, 2024 at 6:30pm) is the Photographers of Dripping Springs February meeting. The meeting is held at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church located at 301 Hays Country Acres Rd.

Our speaker will be our own Warren Capps. He will be discussing the new features of Lightroom. It will be a great presentation for both novice and experienced Lightroom users.

Our meetings are free and open to the public- all ages are welcome. We hope to see you there!

New page photo above is titled Sittin’ in Drippin’ by PODS member Jason Pendland Booth Schwartz. Rippy’s Ranch Supply was an institution for decades on Mercer Street in Dripping Springs. Recently they shuttered their doors for good.

The Photographers of Dripping Springs (PODS) January meeting is this Thursday, January 25 at 6:30pm. We meet at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church located at 301 Hays Country Acres Rd in Dripping Springs. Our meetings are open and free to the public- all ages welcome.

Our speaker this month will be Russell Graves. In the media, Russell's been called a rural renaissance man, recognized as one of the top photographers in Texas, and praised by editors, art directors, and audiences alike for his ability to connect people and places through his written, spoken, and photographic stories. He's had nearly a million words published, authored six books, has had thousands of images grace the pages of magazines and advertisements all over the world (including about 600 magazine covers), is an in-demand speaker, has photographed some of the most prominent people in our country, and is the owner of two businesses.

Location: The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit 301 Hays Country Acres in Dripping Springs, TX. Our speaker this month is Russell Graves. His program is titled: "Back Country Journeys".
