Honoring Those Who Serve — on the Front Lines and on the Land

This Veterans Day, we’re proud to honor the men and women who have served our country — and those who continue their service by protecting the land, water, and wildlife that define Texas.

Among them is Sergeant Stroup, U.S. Marine Corps Infantry veteran and member of the Colorado River Land Trust team.

“The Marine Corps is what made me who I am today and the values I carry forward. I’ve always had a strong passion for hunting, fishing, and land conservation. Today, I’m fortunate to work with Texas landowners up and down the Colorado River to protect and preserve Texas open spaces.”

We’re also grateful to our veteran landowners who have chosen to protect their land - ensuring their legacy of service lives on through the landscapes they’ve protected.

To all veterans, thank you for your courage, commitment, and continued care of the land that unites us all.
