We are here to help those in need. The needs are so different... Volunteer, donate, consider! You might ask yourself “What can be done?

Give any way you can! How often do you hear the phrase “there is no such thing as other people’s children”. Yet somehow hundreds of thousands of children are living in poverty, growing up in institutions, are abused and/or neglected by the very ones who are supposed to care for them. Every time you encounter a story about a child’s suffe

ring, your heart sinks. How can I help with the resources I have?” Not everyone can adopt, host or go on mission trips to other countries. But we are sure that majority of people won’t pass an opportunity to help those in need in some way. Are YOU looking to help and make a difference in a way that is comfortable for you? Then we would like to invite you to join our mission in helping kids in need. We wish to unite people from different walks of life in their desire to help those less fortunate. We are dedicated to building a community, a KIN, that has a heart for vulnerable children and strives to give each child that crosses our path a peace of mind, meet some of their basic needs and have a chance to experience their childhood and just be kids. Isn’t that what families are for - making sure children feel cared for, loved and wanted.

If you or a family member recently came to the United States and would like to start or improve your English, we are here to help!

Partnering with Learning Network Academics Language School, Kids In Need International is offering a full scholarship for a 20 week intensive English course for beginners. This online program will fit busy schedule of moms and dads regardless of their status and occupation.

Course Schedule:

an online course (Tuesday and Friday 19.00-20.30 Central time/20 weeks

English Course Level A2

Course description:

-Review the Fundamentals of English grammar and to study more advanced grammar rules and constructions (the verb “would”, comparative forms of the adjectives, the use of the prepositions, infinitives, Present Continuous, Present Perfect etc.)

-Conversational Practice: your life, family, school objects, buying and selling things, making invitations and excuses, prices, routines and exercise, events, places, cities and countries, vacations, describing people’s appearances, ordering a meal, plans for the future, etc.

-The course supports all the areas of the English language (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) through a variety of activities (texts, dialogues, grammar exercises, video activity worksheets, digital and paper workbooks, group collaboration and individual presentations etc.)

Upon the graduation from this course, there are options for scholarship for the next levels.

Eligibility:
must be 18 or older
have access to internet
be able to complete homework
complete the steps: application/interview/agreement

English Course Level A1 for beginners

У співпраці з мовною школою Learning Network Academics, Kids In Need International пропонує повну стипендію на 10-місячний інтенсивний курс англійської для початківців. Ця онлайн програма підійде для зайнятих батьків незалежно від їхнього статусу та заняття.

Рівень курсу англійської мови A1 для початківців

Основи граматики англійської мови (артиклі, присвійні прикметники, дієслово "бути", простий теперішній, простий минулий часи, прийменники і т.д.)

We are looking for volunteers in San Antonio, TX!

Please, consider donating few hours of your time, that’s all we are asking about this time!

Here is the story:
This small family, grandma and granddaughter came from Ukraine in July. The girl has certain disabilities due to her health conditions, but able to stand and walk for short distances without a wheelchair. Grandmother doesn’t speak any English and doesn’t drive. So at this point they are feeling very isolated and looking for friends and kind hearted people who are willing to help them out a little until they figure things out with housing, school etc.

If you can come to check on them once or once in a while, take them to the park/for a walk/grocerie shopping, church or just have a cup of tea together and talk, please let us know!
Most KIN’s volunteers are in Austin, TX, we take turns but can’t be as available as local friends from San Antonio.

They will be forever grateful, happy to meet you and treat you as a family member, like all Ukrainians do!

KIN has always focused on helping real people in need. No story can be too small for us. One project, one rescue plan at the time.

Music is a universal connector of souls all over the world, so are children! No matter what language you speak or religion you belong to, - Love is a savior!!!
