Contrary to what it may feel like some days, it’s still winter!

GTSSF athletes are stoked to be on skis whether it’s in the rain, wind, or even the famous Targhee fog. 🌬️

Our athletes are adaptable, confident, and strong skiers. They inspire us every day! 🤙🏼

Racer ready?

We have a big weekend of racing this weekend, U14s are headed to Park City, and U10/12s are headed to Tamarack!

Next week we are hosting the Western Region Jr Champs- a large FIS race that attracts athletes not only from all over the West, but Internationally as well. We are still looking for volunteers, head over to our website gtssf.org to sign up. It’s going to be a great series!

Athlete shoutout!

Recently, we had a few athletes go down to Palisades, Tahoe, to compete in an IFSA 3*. We had some great results and fun times.
Rylee Watson came home with a 1st place, but she also came home with the “Ski for Scotty” Award. This is an award given to athletes for lifting up the field with their positive attitude, stoke for the sport, dedication, and good sportsmanship. We are so proud of her!

We are committed to building and supporting not only strong athletes, but good people. Thanks Rylee!

Introducing… the Spudathlon! This cross-country ski race combines the best parts of two legendary Teton Valley races, the Spud Chase and the Alta Vista Skiathlon. In traditional Skiathlon format, the race will be one lap classic + one lap skate—race both on your own, or partner up and each race one lap! At the finish, dig into a baked potato lunch.

Join us for our third Tuesday Night Nordic race TONIGHT at the Alta Track! Choose your distance: 2km, 4km, or 6km, and your discipline (skate is highly recommended for tonight, as the classic track has not been set recently).
