Downtown Driggs Association

Downtown Driggs Association Downtown Driggs Association is a donor supported nonprofit. We do that through free art, music, theater and local history programming.

As a designated Main Street America organization, our mission is to foster a thriving and vibrant downtown Driggs. OUR STORY - In 2003 a devastating fire burned the infamous Teton Mountaineering Outfitters on Main Street in Driggs, killing its beloved owner, Fred Mugler, and leaving a huge physical, economic and emotional hole in downtown Driggs. Soon after the Downtown Driggs Community Associatio

n was formed by a group of community minded residents and business owners to help rejuvenate, reconnect and inspire our community. They created and produced several innovative free music, art and theater events, reviving our community, and re-establishing Driggs as the cultural heart of Teton Valley. Eleven years later the association became a 501 c (3) nonprofit in 2014, and in 2016 also received the official designation as a Main Street Americaβ„’ organization in partnership with the City of Driggs, for meeting rigorous performance standards set by the National Main Street Center and governed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Idaho Department of Commerce. In 2018 our name was shortened to the Downtown Driggs Association (DDA) and our mission was updated β€œto foster a thriving and vibrant downtown Driggs.”
DDA's annual arts and cultural programs, creative placemaking activities and downtown beautification projects address the need for engaging and inspiring public arts and cultural experiences that revive and strengthen downtown Driggs. We believe a fun, happy and inspired community generates a solid sense of place, creating meaningful and lasting connections to our historical and cultural identity and helping to sustain healthy community growth. During our last full year of programs in 2019, the DDA hosted 185 artists, musicians and actors reaching audiences of over 8,000, while keeping arts and culture affordable and accessible for everyone.
